After buying several knife guards in the $6 - $7 a piece range (to “cover up” my chef’s knife fetish) I was pleased to see a much more reasonable option. So, I clicked buy it now - I had a new rosewood handle Victorinox that needed a cover... They arrived today and I am very pleased. I will be buying these again - especially at a little more than $2 each. ...and I had know problems using them for three different 8” chef’s knives - including the Victorinox which has a fairly wide blade.

I got these because I have two spare cleavers that need storage. I did a rough measurement and thought it would fit. And I mean, what else was it going to fit for, right? But unfortunately, it doesn’t really cover all the edge of the cleaver and looks really awkward… so maybe do your measurement clearly or be okay with not so good looking cleaver case… and the quality seems to be okay. Not really giftable, since it looks a bit cheap. Can’t really be cleaned inside either..

Should have paid attention to size, but naturally, as an impulsive shopper I didn't. Quality is fabulous, they are easy to use and clean. I sheathe all the knives in my drawer as I am a clumsy one with limited drawer space and in retrospect should have done some footwork, but that is MY problem, not a problem with the product. The product is great and I've actually used two of them for my longer, bread knives (I know, why have two, but I do?)Great Product, does what it's supposed to and well made.

There were supposed to be 3 pieces to this item- there were 2 in my shipment. I do like the blade guards, but would like also to have received what I paid for. So 5 stars for the quality of the item, 2 stars for the shipment. Too small a dollar amount to hassle with.

They suit my purpose and fit perfectly/Mercer knives are very sharp and while they do have some edge protectors available, they don't have them for their Bird's Beak knives, and it is generally not easy to get edge protectors for small knives, and this is a set of three, so I'll have extra.They took a while to arrive because they were shipped from China but I was not in a hurry to get them.

Material is hard plastic. Inside is nice and soft. Feels nicely made. I like it.

I needed a shield/protective sleeve for my cleaver. It gives me the protection I need.Con: Wish the top was enclosed and a strap on end to keep cleaver from falling out. Otherwise, it does what is needed.

I bought 3 paring knives that are super sharp and didn’t know how to store them. I checked these out and they really are very nice. I use them all the time, they are well made and easy to use.
