Wax and Oils Soy Wax Aromatherapy Scented Candles, Vanilla, 8 oz (Pack of 3)

I LOVE everything about these candles! I actually can't wait to run out to try the other scents :) I got the lavender (which is my favorite), sandalwood, and lemongrass pack for my yoga studio and they're increble. I burn them for a while too they barely make a dent! I was on the lookout for soy candles because I know they last but mainly because of the lack of animal products as well, so this product hit the mark for me on all accounts. Thank you!Updated 2/6/17After using the candles, I would not purchase again, nor would I have purchased them to begin with. The reason I specific chose a soy based candle was because they burn evenly and for a longer time. While these candles do smell nice, they only burn straight down the center directly next to the wick. If you try to scrape the sides down, it causes the wick to shorten and now they won't light at all. I'm basically left with a bunch of candle and no wick to burn it. Disappointed.

I loved these candles. The scents are wonderful. There is a problem that buyers need to be aware of. Once the candle burns down and the wax burns away apparently the tin container becomes extremely hot! It burned layers of formica off of my countertop. I will not purchase another candle sold in a metal container. I've never had this happen with a candle in a glass container.

I bought the 3-pack soy candles as an alternative to stick incense because of the cleaner burn. Generally, I believe they do, however have found you need to make sure to follow the candle care directions and trim/clean the wick after each burn to remove the build up and when you blow the flame out, there can be a lot of smoke that lasts a while.The peppermint scent was nice, the vanilla was ok and not too strong but did seem to leave a film/layer in the tin, and the lavender at first seemed strong, but sort of dissipates, so not so bad. They do burn fairly evenly, but am not sure of the 20-hour burn life claimed on the label especially when the the instructions note a 1/2 inch or less remaining is 'garbage' and should not be burned, which is about 1/3 of the candle.A nice product at a higher price point, but clearly made with attention and an artisan touch.

When I became pregnant, I felt like I could smell things from a mile away, and as I described it to my husband, "I feel like I can smell last year." The morning sickness was exhausting and hard to quell, so when I found that pouring some of my eucalyptus spearmint bubble bath into the water in my morning showers helped fight the nausea, I was ecstatic."EUCALYPTUS EVERYTHING!" I thought. The first thing I searched for were candles, so I could burn them all around the house. After various searches, I felt like these soy candles would be the best bet, and hesitantly spent the $27 (a little steep for 3 small candles, but they said they'd burn for "over 20 hours," and anyone who's experienced morning sickness knows thirty bucks is a small price to pay to be rid of that awful nausea).When I got the package, I was SO excited. I had already been diffusing some eucalyptus essential oils in the house in the meantime, so I decided to wait until the next morning. As I went into the shower in the morning, I lit one of the candles in my dressing room and went to get washed up. Walking back into the dressing room where the candle had been burning, I was confused. The scent was... off. I thought to myself, "maybe its my preggo nose, maybe I'm just overly sensitive?" so I asked my husband to come and take a whiff. He wasn't impressed, either. Sometimes, existing smells in a room mixed with new scents can turn into something odd, so I gave it a shot that morning and let it burn for a good 2-3 hours, while I got ready, made breakfast, and continued my morning routine. I went back into the room and it was still not good. I blew out the candle, then realized that in that short period of time, about 1/4-1/3 of the candle was already melted."20+ hours?" I think not.The only way I can try to explain the smell is a dirty clean smell. Both peppermint and eucalyptus are two scents that are very "fresh" and create an aroma-imagery of "clean" whenever you think of either one, but these candles are just not that. It's kind of like walking into a public bathroom that was clearly just cleaned, and thoroughly, but with a mop that stinks. Clean, but not.If you're also desperately looking for scent solutions, this probably isn't what you are looking for. While I really disliked the Pumpkin scent of this candle, I want to share that Wax & Oil's customer service was absolutely outstanding. After receiving my order, they sent me a separate email to make sure I was 100% happy. When I shared the candle was made beautifully, but that I didn't care for this pumpkin scent at all (smelled like curry + butterscotch to me), they offered to replace the 3 candles with any other 3 fragrances so that I could try again. They sent me (per my choice) vanilla, cedar, and eucalyptus peppermint. All 3 are lovely. I WILL buy from Wax and Oils again! (Note: these candles are highly fragrant and may need a larger room for burning than the average candle).

I love the scent of their candles. Only candles I have found that doesn’t give me a headache from the odor. The problem I have is the wick not burning all the wax.. Leaving sometimes half the wax in the tin . I have since not only solved that problem but extended the life of the candle smell by triple!! I use the leftover wax as I would a wax melt cube. Fantastic results!

I read reviews prior to ordering. Some said that the scent was not very strong and this is true. I get almost no scent at all when burning but they do burn nice and clean. The only issue is the scent which was my purpose in buying them. Sometimes it's hard to trust other reviews, but they were all accurate.

I love these candles....beautiful scent, low smoke and they look great. Packaged beautifully if giving as a gift. I also love how easily the labels remove from the tins....looks so much nicer on my mantle. Will buy again.

Pleasant aroma
