Q: Can the caramels go into the microwave to be melted? We want to make Caramel apples.

Q: How Chewy? Will they pull out your fillings?

I don't think they'll pull out your fillings unless the fillings are already loose. They're the soft chewy kind of caramels. Not the hard caramels. I have crowns and I eat them no problem. I think they're great! Hope that helps.
