Great for home projects.
Great little kit for around the house, probably not contractor grade.

Worth the price
So far So Good. I'm happy with my purchase and only used one hole saw so far but it worked really well. It was sharp, not too heavy, but wish a little more thick.NO INSTRUCTIONS.I wish they didn't charge more for colors but I like being able to see the item coming thru so it is worth an extra $3.00 for yellow vs. black.I'm happy and I think you will be as well.

Cheap but better than expected. A good deal for the money.
This is a medium-grade tool for a low-end price. It is perfectly suitable for a home user who will occasionally make holes in relatively soft materials like plywood. It is not professional-grade, and would not take continuous use. If you need to make a lot of holes, buy individually sized professional hole cutters. Otherwise, this is a reasonable choice.

Affordable Circular Saw Kit - Average User
A great kit for the average user who needs to cut something once in a while. For small things like drywall or thin wood this kit will do just fine. If you are a heavy user, obviously this is not the kit for you. I purchased this kit to cut circular holes on a bookshelf that I'm using to store electronics that require wiring. The kit is easy to use and cut through the thin bookshelf wood easily.

Great for Speaker Boxes
I recently started building speakers, and I needed some hole saws of varying sizes in order to cut out the holes. This kit has a wide range of hole sizes and extra guide bits. It works great. The thickness of material that these hole saws can cut is limited to 1", but that is completely fine for the material that I am installing speakers into. The blades all seem to be well made, and they come in well-made case. For the price, I really do not think that you can go wrong.

Meh, not terrible, but not great.
Worked ok for drywall. Not very good for wood. I think I could have burned a hole faster in wood. I used it on the slowest setting because if you don’t, the bit will smoke. Ruined one dewalt battery powered drill using this kit.On a positive note, the kit is well organized and the case is nice.Just lower your expectations on the effectiveness and you’ll be ok.

Drill slowly for cleaner cuts in plastic
I used this to drill a 6 inch hole thru Starboard (marine plastic). Worked great, but the key is to drill slowly at first and then gradually increase speed. My drill press was operating too fast and the bit shredded the plastic. I used my cordless drill and it worked great.

Cannot cut 1 inch holes
Tried to cut a 3-1/2 inch hole in a 1 inch thick plank of hardwood. Quickly ran into excessive vibrations which ended up breaking the depth gauge on my drill press... and vibrations that repeatedly loosened the mandrel nut and resulted in the pilot drill bit falling out one time. The early vibrations were caused, I believe, by the excessively thin material of the hole saw. I've sawn other holes without vibrations using saws made of thicker material. Later vibrations were caused by the fingers of the Drive Plate impacting the workpiece. These fingers protrude 3/16 inch into the cavity of the hole saw. This effectively limits the depth the hole saw can cut to only 13/16 inch. I tried using a 1-3/8 inch forstner bit to precut the hole enough to accommodate the offending Drive Plate fingers, but unfortunately those fingers offend a diameter of 1-13/32 inch and I didn't have a 1-1/2 inch forstner bit.The instructions don't mention this, but a screwdriver with shank 3/16 inch is required in order to sufficiently tighten the mandrel nut to avoid it loosening during sawing.Only at the very end of the cut was the hole diameter exactly 3-1/2 inch. The top of the cut had a diameter of 3-9/16 inch which was due to the excessive vibrations encountered during sawing.Overall, I am very disappointed in this product and will be returning it for a refund.
