This product is not used with real copper.
You should be able to clean your copper containers out with rubbing alcohol to disinfect it. When you put rubbing alcohol on this container, it is almost like whatever dies they use to make it look copper starts running off and it gets sticky and turns a really weird white color. That's not normal. This is not real copper. Be careful what you buy on amazon. When this came to me in the mail it had been tampered with. It had already been opened. Then I went to clean it with rubbing alcohol and literally dies started coming off of it. I wouldn't buy this product. It is literally false advertisement.

I feel like a hydration hipster with my new 34oz Vintage Copper Water Bottle! It’s like drinking from a piece of ancient history. lubricate threads with paraffin wax
I like the shroud over the mouthpiece to prevent accidental touching it with unsanitary hands.I wish it had a carrying handle. I will probably drill small holes and add a cord as a carrying handle.The threads can be a little grating on one another, causing copper particles to flake off and be ingested, so I lubricated the threads with a rubbing of paraffin wax. That also help it close much more smoothly.

Makes your water taste like it came from heaven!
This is a very good copper jar! It holds plenty of water. The water tastes great, like diamond or something!Update 1 week later after review (photo uploaded) - What the company calls black spots actually seems like corrosion to me. Water now tastes bitter and metallic so I washed it, let it dry and returned it. I was really loving this product but the inside no longer looks appealing/safe to drink water out of. Gonna get a stainless steel jar instead.Bottom line, I don't think it's a good idea to store or drink water out of copper.

Great bottle, great size lousy on off cap
Love the size and the shape of the bottle I love how much it holds my big problem is it has a very hard twist cap and every time I close it it makes loud squeaking noises which I find unappealing. I hope they can find a better way of closing the bottle. At this point I do not use it very much because of that
