Not easy for a child to use
I even had trouble putting line on this pole and casting it, so it was definitely not a pole my son could put line on by himself, which is what I was looking for. Is a sturdy pole and a good deal…just not a good first fishing pole for a kid.

Great, economical set that's just missing the fish.
This is like some sort of Christmas package. For a low price, there's a fishing pole and all sort of other wonderful items to fish immediately. Pretty much all you're missing is live worms and fish.The telescoping pole extended easily to be used, the lure box is compact and easy to use and full of goodies. Extra fishing line, brightly colored plastic bits of fish tempting goodness.Great set, well worth the cost for a beginner or kid.

arrived broken
the reel is made with cheap plastic and a part was broken off inside box, and now they want me to pay $1 to ship it back.

Very kid friendly
This was a great item and my son loves it he is 8. It’s easy for him to carry it around and extend it out when fishing. Lightweight so he didn’t get tired of carrying it. It was definitely sturdy for the fish he was catching. I plan to get another one for my other kids as well because it made traveling with it much easier since it didn’t take up much room.
