My son loves these books. They have interactive links that are full of practice opportunities and perfect for young learners. I just purchased the next level as well.

Good quality book with nice print and paper quality is good too.

I love this publisher and their intro instrument books. My favorite aspect is that the songs are always on the staff to start learning to read music in step 1. I don't like how some publishers avoid putting notes on a staff in the beginning levels, this publisher doesn't do that. The other aspect that I love is that you can buy a level and the songs match other instruments. We own cello, violin, recorder books and can all play the same songs together. You could potentially teach yourself with these books after having an initial lesson of how to hold the instrument.

Purchased with the Book 1 to learn the cello, I'd recommend EE for Strings for any new player that doesn't have a high level of knowledge with music.

Great book , bought the one and two and find both books indespensable, these books should be purchased before starting cello course and should be integrated with all music schools. A definite must have!
