This is a great looking case, both inside and out. I bought a Gretsch New Yorker A-Style for my husband for our anniversary and bought this case for it. It fits rather a bit too tightly for this mandolin, but it works. Just have to be really careful putting it in because it takes some maneuvering.The padding is nice and thick and plush, the blue velvet looks beautiful against this case.The only real downside to this case is that it has the potential to get dirty easily so my husband has to be more careful about where he sets it. I wouldn't travel with this case, especially if you're flying.This a great looking case, especially for the price. I don't know much about this brand or cases in general, tbh, but I'm pretty happy with my choice and my husband loves it.

This case fits my Eastman F5 mandolin perfectly. Protects well and looks very nice. I’m happy.

This case is very light and has very good foam padding all around. What I like about this case as opposed to others in this price range is that it is a snug fit with more that 1" of soft padding around the rims and padding to match the contour of the arched back. The other Canadian hardshell cases that I own have 1/2 inch of less spongy padding and a 1/2 inch of play so the mando can shift around inside the case. My instrument is a hybrid A-style which I built straight off an F-5 blueprint, minus the points and scroll (think Collings A) and it fits perfectly in this case. For what I need, storage in the house and trips out to play music with others, it is perfect. I'm not a regularly gigging musician however, and never just throw my mando case in the back of a van with a bunch of heavy sound equipment that could crush it anyway. What this case is not is bomb-proof super protection, that will easily cost you 3-6 times as much. The canvas covering is untreated, some varnish to impede picking up dirt would be perfect but for this price, I really can't complain

I ordered this with a little bit of hesitation after reading about other cases that weren't large enough for some mandolins. This fit my A-Style Eastman perfectly and I'm sure that it would fit a similarly sized F-Style as well as there is room for the scroll and the point. I love the look of the burlap fabric - very clean appearance. The closures work well and hold the case tight. The only drawback I would mention is the lock. It seems like the cheap trunk lock that I used to pick with a paperclip as a kid. This isn't a concern for me as I don't foresee traveling with my mandolin often and certainly don't believe that a rogue airport employee is going to break into my case.EDIT: I tried to fit my Rogue A100 and it was too large for this case. That being said, cases are meant to be snug to protect the instrument from movement. It fits my Eastman perfectly...I don't really need a case for a $60 Rogue anyway.

It does not fit my Eastman MD514 - the lowest tuners hit the gear compartment, knocking the instrument out of tune. Also, while I liked the look of the case, the hardware is really low quality. I found that I had to manually fiddle with the latches from side to side to get them to close at all and they didn't stay latched. The overall fit and finish were mediocre at best. I returned the case and am looking elsewhere.

The fit and closure of this case, while better than the inexpensive hardshells I have purchased for guitars, are still not up to the level I hoped for in a case that cost what this one does....
