This was some of the best money I’ve bet spent. This Is a soft sided bag and not a box. It however fits perfectly into the cargo hitch carrier I purchased to go onto the back of my Yukon. There is plenty of room in the bag for whatever you need. The straps aren’t necessary if you have a cargo carrier. You can just use ratchet straps and it’ll be just fine. It is really well made and thick. It’s been in extreme heat and rain and nothing got wet. Or melted of anything. It’s super easy to install and use. Very functional and great brand.

Bought it to move across country and this bad boy can really hold A LOT! Was impressed that it was in fact water proof.. drove through tons of rain with our tv in it and it was dry as a bone. Easy to assemble, came a day or two early and not once so I feel it would fall off. Very durable! The straps are stronger than you think and it gets the job done!

Most important info: This stayed on my car (which does not have a roof rack) for a three hour drive, two hours of which was on the highway. It also kept the contents dry when it rained on the trip.Other info: I'm a single mom, 5'4" and I was able to put this on my roof myself (standing on a stool). It wasn't "easy" but nor was it hard. I wasn't quite tall enough to pack it up as I would have liked, but, again, I was able to do it.Two downsides: It's not easy to tighten up the straps. It's do-able, but I wish they used an easier system. In addition, I did have to tighten the straps partway on the drive (both directions) as things moved around a bit. I heard it get loud up top and got worried, but thankfully it was just loosened a little and nothing had broken.Very small note - my gas milage decreased by about 10mpg but that was to be expected.

Held onto the top of my car really well! I have a Chevy trax 2020 and it fit perfectly. The grip mat helped a lot too. It held 2 extra large suite cases and a carry on suit case. It rained on and off on our 13 hour drive and it was completely dry inside. We were so happy with this purchase !

This thing is so awesome,I have a Jeep Cherokee & a family of 4.We used this to store our luggage while we traveled to the beach. It held all of our suit cases (one large, one medium size, one small & toiletries bag) it also held our 10X10 easy up. On the way down we had perfect weather on the way home we did run into some rain. It rained for about an hour & all of our stuff was completely dry!I don’t have a luggage rack but I do have the side bars on top of my jeep this thing just strapped right to it.The straps are durable we had no issues what so ever.If you do not have those side bars it does come with an additional way to strap it on your vehicle.It’s definitely worth the price that’s for sure!!!& once you’re done with it you can easily fold it up and store it for next year.There was also no noise from the storage bag on top it was so nice and quiet the 8hr drive. (Unless you have the straps flying around)I’m so glad I bought it it definitely gave us extra space in my smaller jeep I’ll even continue to use it once I get a bigger vehicle that’s how much i enjoyed this!!

Ordered this to use for a month long road trip from the East Coast to the Midwest and back. We were traveling with our 2 medium sized dogs and needed more room than the just the back of SUV for this long of a trip. We have a Fiat 500x that doesn't have roof bars or a rack, so I had been looking for a rooftop cargo bag that was able to hook in the doors. After lots of research and reading reviews from others, we decided to try this one. This is the first time we've used a cargo carrier on the roof so it was a bit concerning. The cargo bag was easy to install, using the instructions they provided. We used the protective mat and I had bought another just in case. We did a drive with several luggage bags filled with heavier items/magazines in it a month before our trip. We tested it going around corners, going fast and slow, and making stops - seemed to work great! Next was the actual trip with it. It was really helpful to have during the trip. We took it off when we had multiple days at a place and then put it back on the morning we left, and left it on during quick overnight stops at hotels. We parked near lights at hotels and no one seemed to bother anything. The zipper worked well and the Velcro covering stayed put. We traveled through light and heavy rain and snow - everything stayed dry inside the bag! We had tightened the straps as much as they could to keep the bag in place and then tied the ends so they wouldn't flap in the wind. There was occasional noise of the wind moving through the straps but it wasn't too bad. Even with the protective mat under the bag and straps tightened as much as we could, the bag still moved slightly towards the back and the mat was pushed from the front and bunched up an inch or two under the bag, just from driving at high speeds on interstates and wind but wasn't anything to be concerned about. Now, we have it folded and stored in it's storage bag in the garage, was pretty easy to put back in. We had packed extra door hooks and duct tape but didn't need either. Also packed foldable step stools that worked well when getting items, adjusting the bag or taking off/putting it on again. Overall, it was very helpful on our travels, would use again! I would recommend this one.

Appears to be a High quality product. I am using on my boat for storage, so not quite as intended.I may try it on my jeep but boat has much more room for. Looks like it will keep things dry, which was my primary concern. I do like the zipper lock that was included. I think it will work for my needs.It made it through rain storm this week and all stayed dry.. thank you.I forgetfully left lock on back of boat and surprised it was still there after an hour long, freeway drive. Not related but thought it was funny it made the trip sitting on the saim platform of boat. HehA high quality storage option for sure.
