Buffalo AirStation HighPower N300 Wireless Router (WHR-300HP2)

Worked perfectly with minimal setup. I was amazed it would be so easy to set this router up. It looks very nice, has a strong signal (all the way to the barn), and so far is very reliable.

Wow. The first time I saw a phone number. The 'volt' support service was spotty. Before I hooked the router to the external network which uses PPPOE I wanted to have some info on that. Took me three messages and maybe four days to get someone to download a PDF to me. Turns it worked out of the box. How your router knew ... I don't know. I like that you did. I just had to add the username and password.Changing the Wifi name ... still working on that. I have a traditional name for my house that goes back to the mid 80's, before I was here.Now I have an issue about name server; for some ridiculous reason I have three printers and two computers on my net; I would like to access them without first printing out a status sheet to tell me their current IP address. It would be nice to assigned names to the printers. Why I have three I don't know as I just use one. The other two have interesting features, color mostly but one has the ability to print on DVDs. My previous version of Buffalo did this without much effort. This one I haven't figured out yet. Any help on that front would be nice. Other than that I am satisfied. Thank you for your good product. I suppose I should add to that my Amazon purchase recommendation page. I will get right on.

I bought the Buffalo AirStation HighPower N300 Wireless Router (WHR-300HP2) and it never worked. I tried request my money once and I didn't any answer back. I also bought the protection plan and it didn't help me when I needed.I wish I could give them 0 starts

Easy to set up even with the VERY sketchy instructions. Seems to work well - has ethernet cable to connect the old desktop as well as Wifi for wireless connections.

The first crappy Buffalo I've had. Even DD-WRT couldn't redeem it. Sitting in a parts bin now.

I got this router for one reason and one reason only. It is to be an access point with ports, connected to the main modem/router from the office 300 feet away. The EXTREMELY easy with switch in back for bridge mode made this perfect, so perfect in fact that I installed it that way in my daughters home and my brothers home, whose main router w as downstairs leaving reception poor upstairs. Using a TP link home plug pair, connected to this router works with NO loss of speed or signal strength, as if the main router was there instead. Taking all of only 15 minutes to complete setup. Better than any wireless repeater, and the beauty of accual ethernet ports (magicjack,bluer players, roku, etc..) best feature? No cofiguring to bridge, just a simple, physical switch on the back.

Does its job. No complaints except instructions and some parts missing.

The hardware is good, but the software NO ..If you know your upgrade frimware by ddwrt the device works very well. the software that comes with default work ... but you can do almost anything with the softwareChange frimware and you will have a very good router
