I must admit I prefer slow boleros but I try to judge the album not based on my personal taste.The uptempo songs are not similar to the uptempo songs in past years, they definitely sound mature and made especially for Luis Miguel and his band.The horn section in "Mujer de Fuego" sounds fantastic.The most beautiful song for me is "Tres Palabras". I love this old fashion sound with a trumpet solo.Luis Miguel's interpretation of Manzanero's songs earns my applause. "No Existen Limites", "De Quien Es Usted", "Lo Que Queda De Mi" show amazing vocals and wonderful symphony sound.I think that the song "Siento" could have success in the english market. Background vocals of the well known gospel group Take Six highlight the production."Tal Vez Me Mientes" is different from all, it has disco influences, reminds me Earth Wind and Fire sound of the late 1970s.So my final conclusion regarding this cd is: it's a fantastic cd. I gave it 5 stars for the quality: from the music all the way to the musicians and audio production. Everything is first class.

I am the last one to say something negative about Luis Miguel. I've listened this CD several times, trying to figure what went correct, what went wrong, if it's the artists fault or not. And there is a reason for this: Complices, for example, does stand out as being a much more rewarding album.The BEST material of the CD are the ballads. I wish the whole record would have been Manzanero's ballads. They fit his voice perfectly. The strings are good. However, the pieces are too short, and one gets the feel like they just end when you are getting into the mood. In fact, there are not many pieces in this record that would go above the duration of 3 minutes. For a ballad that is not really much.The lighter pieces of the disc, the material didn't attract me that much. Not catchy enough, not melodic enough. But is that the singer's fault? - I don't think so. Luis Miguel lifts this material up as much as possible, and nobody else could have done such a job. The pointing finger here goes to those who didn't provide him what he would have deserved. Perhaps he had the 'best men' around, but this time they were not worth the money.I believe in this album Luis Miguel didn't quite get what he had asked for and what he had wanted. Possibly for this reason he wished not to give a name for this album. Yes, this album actually doesn't have a name! Without Manzanero's touch this album would have been in danger.The expectations are already on the next release. This one will not keep us 'chewing' for a too long time.Helsinki, Finland.

I read most of the reviews about this album and honestly I agree a little bit. Yes, some songs do sound like his old ones and Luismi should switch up his style. However, it wasn't really that bad I mean I liked 7 out 10 songs, which is pretty good for a 10 song album. I guess Luismi is scared that by switching his style he would lose some fans or maybe this is the only thing he knows. I mean not everyone who switches their style are going to be successful, but life is about taking chances. But who knows maybe the next album he will switch up, maybe if he gets enough criticism. Anyways, other then that I thought the album was pretty ok.

I would say Luis Miguel's best pop album was Amarte Es Un Placer (1999). However, this album is also a solid pop effort. Labios De Miel is a great opening song, Tres Palabras and No Existen limites are the best ballads on the album.This is a great album to listen to with a mixture of uptempo and ballads. Luis Miguel always delivers when it comes to vocals. It's surprising why he hasn't released a live cd/dvd since the year 2000.if you love his crooning voice then this self-titled effort is worth a listen!

Luis Miguel could sing "Row Row You Boat" and it would be Grammy worthy. I've been honored by having seen Luis Miguel live several times over the year. And I will purchase any and all of his recordings.

I love this CD. I have the fortune to have the ability to enjoy good music. A great voice and interpretation. This new CD is simply wonderful. Great balance. It has up tempo songs that are inviting to live. It has wonderful romantic ballads that make you dream, love and unleash all kind of nice and wonderful feelings. The musical arrangements are perfect. The trumpet in Tres Palabras makes you cry. Siento has such a beginning that your skin shrinks. I thank Luis Miguel and his team for this wonderful work. I thank God for giving me the ability to appreciate the good art. Luis Miguel's voice in itsefl is art. Whoever thinks that they appreciate good music and the most wonderful voice. Should go fot it. Su voz esta mejor que nunca. No me importa,en cierta forma lo que cante, pero que cante. Las canciones rapidas son dinamicas, letras ligeras..la baladas super romanticas. Tres Palabras, Siento y las de Manzanero fuera de este mundo. Los arreglos musicales perfectos...Gracias Luis Miguel por este trabajo tan soberbio y Gracias a Dios por el don de tu voz que en si es un arte.Quien aprecie una buena voz y un trabajo de calidad, disfrutara mucho de este CD.
