Does the job it needs to and charges the batteries. Have had it where a few times it claims the batteries were fully charged when they were almost dead, but no very often. Worth buying for the unique battery sized charging.

This is an excellent small charger. I bought it because I sometimes need to recharge 3.7V 18650 lithiums but am delighted to see it can also hold and charge 1.5V AA and AAA-sized cells. The spring-loaded charger holds the various sizes of cell firmly. I love the bright green illuminated display which makes the charge status very clear, and the two charge bays are fully independent, i.e. you can use one alone or both simultaneously, and you can have different battery types in the two bays. Charging is rapid and cuts off automatically to prevent overcharging. Be aware that this charger does not come with its own USB power supply, which isn't a problem as most of us are awash with USB psu's anyway, and it does include a suitable short USB power cable. In my tests, when charging two cells, it is drawing around 2.5W of power, with an output current from the USB of 400 to 500mA, so I would suggest using a psu rated at 1A or higher to ensure you do not overload it.

I have always thought it vital to charge several batteries while they are monitored individually. But most chargers take on all for the same time with each lane having no separate indication of fully charged status.So this charger should cope with batteries starting with different capacity and levels of fill taking different times to saturate.Also one needs to know whether an individual battery is cumulatively accepting charge. When fully charged, what it is a battery capable of producing while discharging? This one claims to measure that.This item comes close to achieving all my ideals. Each slot charging rate can be set separately from 4 preset levels.Each slot can be selected for visual monitoring separately.I like the back-light turning on as an indication of a fully charged status.It will charge; AAA, AA, and C size and type NiMH cells. More esoteric Lithium cells also fit, but I have not really evaluated those more varied charging regimes. It remains cool in use.I think the option of USB 5V output only to be used when other batteries are not charging too would be sensible.Overall it feels well made and I'm glad I bought this. I must admit I have not measured the accuracy of any stated measurements but it seems to work well.

So, the product works well. It charges batteries.If you get this for vape batteries (18650 I think), it's not super easy to get the batteries out. The charger kind of curves up around the batteries, making it difficult to get them out.Also, the reviewer who said you can see this from the moon is right, it's SUPER bright.
