Although the image in the listing was incorrect, the part I received matched the description and works perfectly. I used it to connect a generator regulator to a standard propane line.

I used this fitting to modify my factory Camp Chef "Mountain Series" propane-supply connector. The original Camp Chef connector incorporates a 17-psig regulator that connects only to disposable 1-lb propane canisters. In addition, it requires extra space to the right side of the stove for the canister and angled tube - it's a rather clunky arrangement in my opinion. Consequently, I cut off the (proprietary) Camp Chef connector from the tube, and built an adapter using a Swagelok 5/16"-tube to 1/4" FPT fitting along with the 1/4"-MPT to 3/8" male flare fitting sold here. This allowed me to connect directly to a standard bulk-propane hose (using an adjustable 0-30 psig regulator).This new arrangement is an unmitigated success.BTW, I saw on here some complaints from a couple other users that the flare threads for this adapter are somehow cut improperly. This was NOT at all my experience - the part mates perfectly with the 3/8 female flare on my tank hose.

Fit perfectly on my MasterCool Vacuum pump. I was looking to improve my vacuum times, I recently purchased a Yellow Jacket vacuum pump tree that had a 1/2" connection. The original connection was 5/16" and 1/4", which wouldn't work. This connection worked flawlessly, I tested it last night on a 30lb recovery bottle. I was able to pull down to 500 microns in 6min,27sec, which is amazingly fast. Using a set of Fieldpiece SMAN manifold typical time is about 20-30 minutes.The brass fitting was perfect, no burs or blemishes. The treads were true and I was able to securely connect a my hoses to it. Superb quality, zero issues at a decent price. Thanks!

My 5/8 flex gas line requires a 5/8 Flare adapter with a 15/16 thread, which is significantly larger than the thread on this adapter. I had to take my flex line to Home Depot and had the same issue with their 5/8 brass fitting (too small), but their 5/8 steel fitting, marked as "5/8 Flare with 15/16 thread" worked fine. Otherwise, this is a quality fitting.

Used to reduce from from propane line to regulator. Worked great . Good price

I ordered a 3/8" flare x 3/8" male NPT half union. Received 1/2"? flare x 3/8" male NPT. I know I did not screw up my sizes as the fitting the flare end is going on is clearly labelled 3/8". Hose is 3/8". ordered 3/8".Looks like there are several other similar reviews.

This half union flare and NPT fitting filled the job perfectly.

As described - connected 2 natural gas hoses with this adapter - no issues (used the teflon tape provided with the gas hose).
