This mattress topper has made my Temperpedic mattress go from to hard to very comfortable. I've had it for two weeks, and I'm getting a good restful sleep for the first time in years, and don't wake up hurting any more! It's very thick, and makes the bed a good bit higher, so that's something to consider. This is for making the top of a mattress softer, so don't expect support; that should come from your mattress. I already had an excellent mattress cover and sheets that fit up to 18" thick, so I just put the cover over topper and mattress together, so I didn't need an extra cover for the topper like some of the other ones Amazon offers. I sleep hot and my mattress cover already helps with that since a Tempurpedic mattress already sleeps hot. This topper has vents, not sure how much that would help without a good cover. This topper is a much lower price than others, and is excellent quality. I didn't notice any chemical smell at all. Bought it during summer; some of the other topper reviews mention the topper not expanding right; I have to wonder if cold temperatures during shipping might cause that issue? I ordered the California King size and the fit is perfect. I'm ordering another today for my daughter's queen bed.

I didn't open the product right away with the expectation that it would have to be left out for a few days to let the odor dissipate. We had a bunch of people scheduled to come to the house and didn't want a king size mattress topper laying out in the open. After finally opening it I only noticed a very faint smell when sticking my nose right into the material. Let it rest overnight and by the next day smelled nothing. Put it on the bed and the size was just about perfect. We have an older sleep number bed and the pillow top is pretty crushed after 14 years. Looked into buying a new one and the prices are out of sight. That drove us to give a topper a shot. So after about 4 nights of sleeping on this we're really happy. Don't seem to be tossing and turning as much. In fact, 3 of the 4 nights my Fit Bit had me being restless only 4 - 5 times - much better than prior to putting the topper on the bed. Seem to be waking up with less lower back pain as well. I know it is a small sample but really happy so far.

Comfortable the first 6 months but will start tearing and will need replacing within a year...I gave it 2 stars because it is comfortable but not worth the money due to the quality

I've been using this pad for about 2 weeks now. It arrived compacted, and I read that people left theirs out to "air" for 24 hours before using it, but as soon as I cut the plastic, it sprang to life. By the time I got it out and unrolled and into place on the bed, it was pretty ready to use. It did have a plasticy smell to it the first 2 days, but honestly it wasn't that bad, and I'm super sensitive to smells (especially after reading thw other reviews and expecting it). It comes with a mattress pad, and we used it in addition to our regular mattress pad. We slept on it about 6 hours after I unrolled it and made the bed.Honestly, I was expecting a much firmer foam. I was a little disappointed. But now that I have been sleeping on it, I am really ok with it. I slept so hard the first night, and immediately noticed my spine didn't ache any more.The foam does warm up some, it's definitely not as "aircool" as I imagined, but my fiance (who sleeps hot and can never get enough "cool") doesn't mind it, compared to other foams we have tried that he just sweated on.I love this foam now. Everytime I sit down on my bed, it makes me want to lie down and go to sleep. The foam just wraps me in it's squishy arms and rocks me to sleep. It's very comfortable, though it did take some getting uaed to. I also have to fight the urge to stay in bed ALL day watching Netflix and chilling.It gets marked down for not being as firm as I wanted, and not being as "aircool" as I expected.Other than that I love this foam for saving us a few more hundred dollars right now, because I was equally ready for a new mattress and so not ready to spend a grand on a new king bed. $200 will buy us comfort until we get a new mattress, and it was worth the price of a night or 2 in a comfy hotel.

After one month of sleeping on this mattress topper I can tell you I love it!It has eleviated my sore shoulders and hips and I also now no longer overheat during the night! I no longer wake up trying to get comfortable or to get cooled off!The reason I chose this particular topper is because it was 3" thick and because "Patented AirCool IQ Gel memory foam feels and performs like 5lbs memory foam" (The density makes it so that you don't "fall" into the topper and are then unable to move.)Being a large person I knew that the higher the density the better...this topper is perfect!!This is the best I have slept in several years. Super product at a great price! I definitely would buy again!No I did not get paid for my opinion.

We've had this topper for 6 months now and it's completely falling apart. It doesn't even stay on the bed, it slides off almost daily. It has huge cracks and holes all throughout it already. The cooling never actually cooled at all, but we kept it because it was comfortable. However, it looks like we'll be buying a new one just 6 months later. Do not buy. The ones at Sam's Club last years, much better quality.

Doesn't fit the bed well. Too short on the sides. Also it is very soft. Was hoping this would be more firm.

This topper has saved me! I've had it for a couple weeks now and I don't wake up in pain anymore. I have a very firm mattress and I also have a herniated disk in my low back, and hip and pelvic pain. I was waking up every day in more pain than when I went to sleep. But this mattress topper has saved my life! It's just the right amount of soft, but it's very supportive. It feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud. I wake up more energized and I look forward to going to sleep at night, where before I would stay up on the couch as long as I could because I hated my bed. If you have chronic pain, but you're on a budget, I highly recommend this topper!

Had less then a year and it’s already cracking and falling apart 😭
