Once you Switch to Electronic you Can’t Go Back
Incredibly snappy shifting and she can take some hits. I was reluctant to switch to electronic shifting but now that I have I can’t go back. You can shift while hammering out 1000 watts in a climbing sprint and it is just as smooth and responsive as always. My derailleur took some serious rock abuse out in Sedona and didn’t seem to notice. After a quick realignment of the hanger it was right back to smooth flawless shifting. You will want to recharge the battery after every few long rides. When the battery starts to get low shifting starts to get sloppy. SRAM says the battery can last 60 hours, but in reality I recharge the battery once a week to keep the shifting flawless.

Great upgrade
Great performance, easy to setup, easy to integrate with Garmin computer. Battery is small, easy to carry a spare. Garmin will show battery level, current gear, and will alert when the battery is low.

It was as expected
As other reviews note, it does not come with a battery. It works well and shifts smoothly. No problems yet.

Shifts as nice as my XX1 derailleur.
This is easily the best value in the Sram 12 speed mtn derailleur line up.
