So far a good choice; grilled our chicken on it!
Sturdy. Up date: Our old gas grill died. So we put a metal guard on the 4 pot holders to keep grease from dripping into the burner, then the cooking grate on top of this. Placed aluminum foil on the very bottom to catch any grease to keep the base clean. We grilled our chicken on it. It worked great! This is going to be great for boiled peanuts, fried wings and when needed, a grill back up. It will be a staple of our hurricane preparedness plan for back up cooking along with a new grill and propane burner. It is sturdy, short and take up less space than the typical tall standing "LOCO turkey fryer". (Which did't last long before the switch broke.) Get this one. It is the real deal.

Good for my deck Wok Station
Plenty of heat for my 16" Wok out on the deck. I bought a used stainless restaurant table and cut the legs to get the perfect height for my work. Enjoy the occasional use. I expected the flame control at the propane bottle connector would be a hassle, but I really like the fact it's located away from the heat.

Propane regulator output hole too small...drilled a 5/64 hole
The media could not be loaded. The small Output hole on the end that screws into main burner element needs to be " SLIGHTLY" bigger than one that it comes withI used a. 5/64 drill bit and made the propane output hole slightly bigger...Then I used a air blower to blow OUT any brass still in hose due to drilling processI lighted the burner...It NOW has a nice " blue/yellow 3 - 4 inch tall Flame...Gets the 22qt pressure canner up to 12# of pressure in about 30 minutes....manufacturing company most likely made hole small to avoid liability issues if hole was larger...It works great NOW since I made output hole a 5/64

Great burner for homebrewing!
This is a great burner. I bought it because I wanted to replace the super loud jet-style burner I had been using. One thing I immediately noticed is that loud burner does not equal faster boil, because this heats my kettle just as fast. And it’s significantly quieter.Setup and operation are very simple. If you’ve used a propane burner before, you’ll know how to use this. If this is your first burner, the instructions are clear and simple to understand.I use mine to brew beer in a 15 gallon kettle and it’s rock solid. Zero rocking or wobbling. Heat output is comparable to most other burners I’ve used. Heat distribution is much better than the jet-style burners so at least in my experience, this heats up better. I was contemplating purchasing a different (more expensive) Gas One burner with a higher BTU output but I’m glad I opted for this instead. I can’t recommend this burner enough.

Kind of dangerous, inefficient flame
i've used this a few times now and even made a table to make using it safer and easier. Even with the burner sunken into a table, wind has a pretty drastic effect on it.I've had a few cases where the ignition was happening inside the burner instead of outside of it. Super dangerous. I've also noticed that the fame is very orange, indicating an inefficient burn. This is adjustable with the metal slider thing, but all that does it vent the gas instead allowing more air in. Watch for flame outs.I've also noticed that the 4 pot holder legs aren't not level with each other, which causes the pan to rock a bit.I've been using this as a deep fryer. While i can get it up to whatever temp i want. it's not quite enough power and/or thermal transfer to be perfect at the job. For example, i start at 400 degree oil, drop in some fries, it goes down to 300 or so and pretty much never gets back to 400 until the fries are out. I think the trick is to start a higher tempWhile it does get the job done, it really isn't that great. It is very inexpensive though so if you keep an eye on it, you'll have a good chance of cooking dinner or whatever without blowing yourself up or starting a grease fire.
