It’s the perfect star for a small tree. It will look great.

Pretty good for the price; I like mine. It’s just a mesh of thin metal wires that wrap around a metal frame. Not super solid and the wiring could come unraveled because it’s not secured it’s just wrapped, but that’s what I was expecting for the price and being lightweight is nice. Another thing I loved is that it’s two sided, so you don’t have to hide the back like a lot of light up stars in this price range. One thing to be aware of and the reason for 4 stars is that when I first put in batteries and lit it up the little lights were super bright. After less than a day (only being on a couple hours of that) the lights have dimmed to probably less than half their original brightness. I kind of like them dimmer better actually it’s more peaceful! But I’m concerned it’s going to bum out after some use considering how fast they faded in the first couple days. Fingers crossed because I’d still recommend it!

For several years, I've been having trouble connecting the lights on my tree topper to the other lights on my tree. So I was happy to get a battery operated Star. I noticed some people in the reviews complained about the batteries. One said that the batteries wore out quickly. My daughter suggested rechargeable batteries, which I plan to get. But I started with some half used batteries from the kitchen drawer, and it's been working fine for several days. It took me about 2 minutes to install the batteries and mount the star on my tree. Easy peasy and it looks beautiful on my tree. I'm very happy with this purchase.

The good news is that since it's an LED, it might last the holiday season. The bad news is that it takes 3 AA batteries. We have a 8' tree and don't want to have to use a step ladder to turn it off every night. In fact even if the tree was shorter it's still a pointless nuisance. It would be acceptable if it had a cord, but it's just regular, nothing special tree topper which is now a pain.

The description said it’s a warm light and it’s a little too cool to match the warm lights on the Christmas tree and it clashes. A little too bright.
