It is wrongly described on Amazon as a locking knife (definition of which is that it can only be opened by pressing a button) which it isn’t. Below, extracted from a Police website: It is illegal to carry any sharply pointed or bladed article in a public place (with the exception of a folding pocket knife, which has a blade that is less than 7.62cm or 3 inches). A lock knife is NOT a folding pocketknife and therefore it is illegal to carry these knives regardless of the length of the blade

does it come sharpened?

Because it comes as a complete knife. A responsible adult has to sign for its delivery. We use it for cutting cheese, I have a French Relative. Look after it and it will last for years. Regards Robert
