Straightforward and quite fun to assemble. I recommend starting with the moon (easy target). The detail you can see is great - all the craters! On my third play around, I accidentally stumbled upon Jupiter which was exciting.The tripod is very rigid and sturdy. The dials allow great precision when adjusting your viewing location. I have no prior experience with a telescope and I am finding this one nice to learn with.

I used to love astronomy as a kid and I decided to treat myself to a telescope and give it another go. After seeing the reviews for this telescope I decided to go for it. All I can say is I’m glad I did. Very impressed with the quality, it was quite easy to assemble and set up. I love it and I’m really looking forward to checking out the night skies again.Definitely recommended.

Great little telescope... looks great too! I did quite a bit of research before making the purchase. As a beginners telescope, this one ticked all the boxes for my 9 year old daughter (who am I kidding, myself included). I figured, this was a good entry level to astronomy, at a decent price. The Plossl Eyepieces and ability to mount a smartphone, being particularly useful when considering the purchase.I was a little disappointed when taking the telescope out the box to find some pretty significant marks / scratches on the telescope itself. That would be my only issue, and quite a real disappointment.Assembly was SO easy, I actually ended up assembling sat on the sofa, with only light from the TV! It was really, really that easy to assemble.I spent a little time during daylight, to get things aligned. Only problem I've faced, is since it arrived we've only had one clear night and the moon is nowhere to be seen. Can't wait until it is. So far, just had some decent looks at Jupiter, and even caught a glimpse of a meteor through the eyepiece when pointing towards Betelgeuse / Orion... that blew my mind! Been using the Night Sky app in conjunction with the 'scope.Can't wait for another clear night, and the moon to finally make an appearance... scratches aside, would definitely recommend.

For our first telescope I think it's pretty good, we've already got great pictures of the moon. Easy set up, but took a while to adjust and work out how to use it and getting the focus.

I knew nothing about telescopes and when I opened the box I was initially daunted.The instructions were really easy to understand and I assembled it within 10 mins.It's a very sturdy, well made product. Feels expensive. All fittings were of high quality and give confidence that the telescope is not a piece of cheap tat.When I had it all set up, the next step was to learn how to focus it and this was probably the hardest part as you really need to understand the trajectory of the tube and lightscope.I couldn't see anything and then realised it was pointing too high and at a Misty, foggy sky.I lowered it to focus on a tree and from that soon had it rotating and tracking objects across the sky.Really lovely piece of kit, I've downloaded a skymap so I can see the constellations and track them across the sky.Still waiting to get the moon, its been hidden by clouds so far.The phone attachment is great and I have used it to photo birds and planes across the sky.Again, awaiting a clear night to capture the moon. Was not expecting to have that accessory included, but there really is everything you need to be up and running within 10-15 mins.Really great product.

My partner bought this telescope for me (having wanted one for ages) for our anniversary and it’s just gorgeous. Was easy to put together and very easy to use in action as well. Looks beautiful to boot!

The telescope could not be assembled because the counterweight and retaining screw threads were not manufactured correctly - the screw just slid in and out!. The counterweight could therefore not be fixed on the counterweight shaft, making the telescope completely useless. The telescope has been returned to Amazon for a refund.

After missing the super blue moon a few months ago I decided to finally purchase a telescope. This telescope technically falls under the entry level telescope category but I’m very impressed with it. Definitely a good price for the quality.Unfortunately the skies aren’t super clear right now but at the end of the month (December 2023) we’re expecting a full moon which I can’t wait to capture. I’ll upload a photo if I’m able to view it from my house. Star gazing is surprisingly fun.The assembly video and manual are actually very helpful. No tools necessary you’re able to tighten all the screws and attach all parts with simply your hands. I would recommend purchasing additional color lens for fun.I was having trouble with the cellphone attachment. Make sure you follow the manual and insert the lens “eyepiece” into the attachment! I thought the attachment had a magnifier but you still need to use an eyepiece or “magnifier.”There’s definitely a learning curve. Patience is important when you have no idea what you’re doing. Just have fun! Both control cables (ascension and declination axis) are extremely helpful. Remember the finder scope is your best friend!Lastly the only thing I would improve would be a taller tripod. When you spend hours searching for stars a taller tripod would be more comfortable. I’m going to purchase a camping chair for more personal comfort.

This is an amazing telescope. I've had it for a couple months now and it has been an absolute blast to use. Set-up was easy, instructions were clear and the product delivered on its promises. I was able to clearly see the moon and also Jupiter a while ago with the half-crescent moon. Also the customer support was simply amazing, my questions were answered and they always responded in orderly time.
