Another Johnny Depp masterpiece! All actors did excellent jobs of bringing to life those involved in the labyrinth of gangs, their ever twisting goals. The entropy resulting from the tensions and fights, both internal and personally, and externally, between each other rises and falls as loyalty and compromised decisions by the FBI leads to the ultimate downfall of many, yet the end victory for others, though tarnished, end the end, by bad judgements that could not sustain even the purest of intentions. A very good venture into the underworld of organized and and not so organized crime, along with lots of dragging through dirt by all.

Johnny Depp's should have gotten an Oscar. I absolutely love this movie. The only thing that wasn't historically correct was that several FBI agents out of the Boston office were taking bribes & they through the one agent under the bus. This movie is creepy fun!

This story about Whitey Bulger and the Winter Hill Gang is spot on. It is played well by Johnny Depp and he is very convincing as Bulger, an murderous scoundrel. I was particularly interested in the part about the Roger Wheeler murder as I was a Tulsa Police Officer at the time an my partner became Mrs. Wheeler's body guard after Roger was murdered in the parking lot of the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa because he wouldn't allow the Winter Hill gang to infiltrate and control the World High Alai sports in Florida that Wheeler owned. There are also interviews with some of the Tulsa detectives who worked the case for years, even thought the FBI knew who the killer was but covered it up and impeded the investigation since Bulger was an informant. I highly recommend this movie!

Collectively all the actors/actresses were wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised by Johnny Depp, would never had known it was him, amazing job!

Great movie. The whole ensemble cast was great. Rented through prime today.

Awesome movie! Johnny Depp continues to impress me with his acting skills. Joel Edgerton played his role perfectly.The story was very well told. I found myself both fearing and feeling sorry for James "Whitey" Bulger and John Connolly. Watched it twice!

Black Mass von Scott Cooper erzählt die wahre Geschichte des Gangsterbosses Whitey Bulger, der es durch Beziehungen und die Hilfe von korrupten FBI-Agenten und Polizisten schaffte, Bostons mächtigster Gangster zu werden.Eine hervorragende leistung von Depp.Der Film selber ist gut aber irgendwie auch wenig langweilig.

Der Film ist echt gut gelungen. Die Story hatte ein sehr gutes Drehbuch und die Schauspieler sind alle Top. Sie bringen die Skrupellosigkeit sehr gut auf den Punkt. Die Art, wie die Geschichte erzählt wurde, hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Man weiß gleich, wohin der Film hin möchte und er bringt es sehr gut auf dem Bildschirm. Der Film hat eine sehr ruhige Erzählweise, welche aber hier auch gut passte. Die Musik, die hier verwendet wurde, hat mir auch gut gefallen und begleitet den Film sehr gut. Man hört hier keine Dominanz heraus und ist eher im Hintergrund, als im Vordergrund. SuperIch kann Ihnen den Film empfehlen. Man hätte nie vermutet, dass so etwas mal möglich gewesen ist ich ich finde es schlecht, wie man sich verhalten hat, denn verbrechen sollte man nicht unterstützen, sondern verhindern!

Top Film über das kriminelle Leben des James "Whitey" Bulger,der gut von Depp gespielt wird.Auch die anderen Schauspieler machen ihre Sache gut,wer hier schreibt der Film sei langatmig und schlecht...sollte nonstop action Filme ala 96 hours guckn...und nicht Filme nach wahren Begebenheiten!Kann den Film nur empfehlen.Top

Johny Depp in einer seiner besten Rollen wie ich das empfinde. Brutal, Action, Story.. verbindet diesen Film.
