I have well-established gum disease which is beyond rescue now. I control the infection with chlorhexidine mouthwash and/or hydrogen peroxide. It's reasonable to suppose that rinsing my mouth with antiseptics does no good for my gut bacteria, so I was delighted to hear there's a toothpaste with gum-friendly bacteria that's supposed to help!After three days of brushing with Meridol instead of using the antiseptics, my gums started bleeding and felt inflamed. They looked white, which is a sure sign of active disease. Plaque started building up on my tongue. I am now blasting the inside of my mouth with peroxide to try & arrest the damage.Emphatically NOT recommended for the stated purpose!
