No greasy finger prints. Light keys. No annoying clicking. Perfect size
I have a thinkpad Lenovo and I was trying to look for a keyboard that is the same size and has similar keys (I do a lot of copy and pasting with the keyboard). And this keyboard is AMAZING! it has a great weight to it, the keys are like soft buttons that you click, it's like a matte material so it doesn't get all greasy (like my Lenovo keyboard) and it's just the perfect size. The only thing I wasn't crazy about (which really isn't anything at all. I would still buy 10 of these) is that when it was shipped the batteries were already in it, but the instructions told me I had to flip them over. But really I didn't... So i thought it was a dud keyboard and not working. And one of the batteries had like a hairline of carozion on it. It easily wiped of. Like I said. I would still buy 100 of these keyboards. Never buying a different kind! GET IT! You will be happy you did...

Compact and WONDERFUL to type on!
This keyboard is incredibly compact but does not sacrifice a quality typing experience in exchange for the smaller form factor. The soft touch keys provide a wonderful texture and the key size and spacing make for a fluid, error-free workflow. There is no wasted space in terms of the design. The keys push out to near the edge of the board, and the rounded corners and slight lift at the back with the non-slip rubber feet are perfect. I have an M2 MacBook Air open during my workday to complete personal tasks, and I have a Windows laptop connected to two monitors for work. The keyboard on my M2 and this Microsoft keyboard are very similar in terms of key size, so switching between the two is seamless. The setup process could not have been easier. As soon as you pull the battery tag, Windows acknowledges the keyboard. And after one click, you’re connected! The bonus here is that this keyboard is perfect for travel as well, but I also have no hesitation in recommending this as a daily driver. This is a WONDERFUL keyboard!

Smart Choice
LOVE IT! I'm writing this review with this keyboard right now. This is a great cheaper alternative to the keyboard/case that goes with the surface pro 11. Only differences between the keyboard is that the AI button is a emoji selection menu and there is no brightness control. Both are small differences. This gives the illusion of the IPad with the small keyboard BUT at a cheaper price.

It's a great compact keyboard with a few confusing qwirks
Honestly, I wanted to love this thing. I'm even writing my review with it right now. But it's going back, and for reasons that may not bother you. I'll start with things that I really like. It's fairly quiet, the keystrokes travel isn't too bad and it's pretty easy to get used to, and the fact this will connect to three Bluetooth devices is great. It's also very responsive. I wanted to give this one a try because I was deciding between it or the newer Surface Keyboard (2nd Edition) -- I absolutely LOVE my original Surface Keyboard, and I also use the Apple Magic Keyboard with my MacMini. So having one that could work with both was nice. Unfortunately, I am a numeric keypad junkie. I make due on laptops without them, but on my home computers I really maximize their use, both on Mac and PC. So not having one here really started to get on my nerves. I also noticed that the pitch of the keyboard is much lower (closer to the Apple one), which is not bad, but it's not to my liking as it's almost flat. I find the Surface Keyboard to be more comfortable. Some people have talked about the batteries, and I agree that coin-type CR batteries seem strange, but that does make this a lower profile and lighter keyboard. Assuming it has a decent battery life, I guess it's okay. I would have just made it rechargeable if you were going to flatten it out though. The Apple one is, and the Surface one that I use is a AAA battery (no power switch). Both of those seemingly last forever, I don't know how long you can go if you forget to flick the switch off/on here. Perhaps my biggest gripe is the ability to customize keys -- more specifically, the ability to customize exactly SIX keys. Even that isn't entirely true. You can tweak settings for the FN key (does it default ON or OFF), and there's an "Expressive Key" that only offers three things: Expressive (same as the WINKEY + PERIOD shortcut for emojis etc), an Office Key, and Application Key. By comparison, there are four keys at the top (F5-F8) that you can change so many more thing on, even setting up a macro key combo if you want. I just don't understand why this option isn't give to the Expressive key to let me do what I want with it. Or even let me make it another Windows key or update the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center to allow for it to become a CoPilot shortcut like the new Surface keyboard (and most newer laptops) are doing. Yes, I use the "Expressive" menu/options/emojis regularly, but I don't need a single key for it. I've developed a muscle memory for WIN+PERIOD(.) at this point. I'm good. But that's probably not a reason for most NOT to pick this keyboard up. It's still a great little keyboard. Ultimately, I'm going to spend the extra $80 and pick up the Surface 2nd Edition. Yes, it means I'll still need another keyboard for my Mac, but I'm okay with that.

Perfect size for a stylish or small workspace and easy to pair to multiple devices
I have owned the Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard for about 9 months, and it has held up very well. I use it for work and gaming with a Windows PC, so it gets a lot of use. It was easy to set up, and I have it paired to two Windows PCs and an iPad mini. The Bluetooth setup is straightforward, and I did not have any issues with this; device switching only takes a short press of the Bluetooth button. The size is excellent. I have a smaller height-adjustable desk, and this is a great space-saver that lets me keep a notepad, phone, etc., on my desk while still leaving enough space. Battery life has been great. I replaced the original battery a month or two ago. The function keys on the keyboard include everything I need; I've not had an issue with any key options being missing. The noise level is about what you get on a standard laptop keyboard, for an excellent price. Highly recommend this if the size fits your needs.

Buena calidad de materiales, diseño minimalista agradable, conexión sencilla. Lo devolví porque preferí un MX Keys Mini para hacer match entre el teclado de mi computadora y el de mi tablet, pero es una opción sólida.

To preface, I did purchase this keyboard during a sale, though nonetheless I would strongly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a standard piece of their work station. The cons, I wish it was backlit as I often work late into the evenings and like to dim down the lights around me. But this definitely has not been a deal-breaker due to the other useful tools integrated into the keyboard. Pros, I love the feeling of the keys (easily to type, coming from a macbook air user of 5 years this was an incredibly easy shift), my typing speed has varied between 85-95 wpm consistently. There are also several 'tool' buttons that I love, such as the screen capture button, and you can connect the play/pause button to spotify open on your desktop. While I haven't often used the emoji button, I personally find this to be a really cute addition, and I would never have reached for the ctrl button that would have normally been in that place. Additionally, I have used this keyboard for casual gaming and it has worked great! It has always responded quickly, and consistently while in use. To respond to the issue of the keyboard taking a while to wake up - this 5 seconds is longer than any other wireless keyboard I have used in the past, but to be completely honest it doesn't bother me! While at the computer I just press the arrow or space key knowing it takes a second to load up, but once awake this keyboard has no delays what so ever. Overall love the keyboard, and hope to use it for years to come.

I was looking for a new keyboard for a minimalist setup. As a touch typer, I wanted to try and strike a balance between that satisfying clicky feel and noise. I take a lot of notes in my work and I don't want the sound of me capturing notes to bleed into my video conference calls where I do a lot of talking. I have been eyeing this compact designer keyboard for a bit as I've always been a fan of Microsoft keyboards and this one also supports multiple devices. I thought this could be handy if I ever integrate an iPad into my day-to-day workflow at my desk. Pros: - Well made! - Satisfying typing experience for touch typers. - Compact, would also be good for those of you who are travelling for your work or school. Easy to throw in a bag. - Function keys are the default press, which is great. You have to hit Function + when you want to use the F-key. Smart. Cons: - The color / material definitely picks up the grease from your fingers... it looks greasy on the regular and I need to wipe it down. - I'll wait and see around the battery life and the availability of batteries. If I forget to keep CR2032s in stock and the battery dies... that could be annoying. I'll try my best to be proactive there. All-in-all, I really like this keyboard. Feels great. Recommended.

Using the F1 key for changing connection to another device is not as good as I wish. The body and key quality is not very good, but it works for me. I love the minimal design but I wish to had a small tilt in comparison with my Logitech MX mini, everything is less responsive and quality is lower, but you are paying half
