I ordered a merino long sleeve shirt as I wore out others I owned. I use them to keep warm on a chilly night (35-40 degrees). I chose to go with the 250 merino. It arrived on time & I was thrilled to give it a try at an outdoor event I went to recently.First of all the color was a light grey - so it was the same color as was shown when ordering. I ordered the XL as most of the time this size fits me best - but this time it was 1 size to large. However, this was not an issue...since I really want to test it out compared to major hunting brands I normally wear.As I stated, it was 1 size to large, but better than to tight or small & uncomfortable. I wore it to an outdoor event I attended in the dessert (temp was 35-40 degrees) and wore a normal shirt over it, and carried a jacket - in case I need it, or if the wind picked up. It kept me comfortable, while still being light enough not to notice and breathable. I still felt the chill in the air but again this wasn't an issue. Had the temperature dropped and more needed I would have layered accordingly or worn the jacket.It meets my expectations. The bonus is they also sent a pair of their socks - to which is used also this same night. I layer accordingly - I wore the merino socks & then an iver pair (knowing if your feet get cold the body follows).I can recommend this product & will be ordering a 2nd - but in Large to compare sizes. Then once I determine the best size for me, I will grab a couple more. I am considering giving as a gift to some friends who also do outdoor activities and see what they think.

First, I want you to know that this sweater does not include the model's haircut in any way. That needs to be purchased separately and is only available in the wilds of Croatia where there are no mirrors or sober barbers. The sweater feels great but is a bit thing and wears out into little tatters and small holes after a rigorous wash on stone at the river. I recommend a hand wash only in a proper sink indoors and to air dry next to your spanks and other delicate matters. Merino wool is the future of the space program so wear this proudly. To infinity!!

This shirt arrived quickly and I was surprised to see a pair of gray socks folded in with the shirt. I even remembered thinking to myself that I didn't remember ordering socks as well. I put them in my husband's drawer and I guess he wore them today because he randomly said tonight,"These socks are great!". I asked to see what they looked like and it was the pair that came with the base layer shirt. The base layer doesn't feel scratchy like some merino wool clothing does. It seems to fit true to form. Really pleased with this purchase!

I wear this as a mid layer on top of a tight thermal layer, then I throw a light water/windproof shell on as an outer layer; This combo keeps me warm even when I’m outside in 19° weather, just walking around. The quality of the material and the construction of the shirt is top notch. I really like this shirt and would definitely purchase another one from this company.

He’s keeping the larger size would be to big .I can’t really give a honest review because it’s for a hiking trip in the spring.

These shirts, both long sleeved, and tees, have become my preferred base layer. And in some cases my only layer. They’ve held up well. I follow the care instructions; they do require more attention such as air drying but they dry quickly and i can wear them days on end with no hygiene concerns. One caveat - this site kept recommending a size too large for me, but after trying it, my usual size was still the best fit.

This shirt is warm.This shirt is thick.This shirt is soft.I have worked outside YEAR-ROUND for over 25 years. I am very familiar with feelinf cold.This is the warmest top at this price point I have.I gave it 4 stars because I can't speak to its durability YET.

I am a big fan of merino wool for years now. I wear merino base layers, shirts and underwear all year. I have base layers from several manufacturers and I am very pleased with this one. I have only worn once but Tte quality seems excellent.I also like the fit. I have always worn a medium but in my older age I have a bit more belly/waist size. A lot of manufacturer design these for an athletic body type and so too tight around the middle for me. But if I order a large then it is too big everywhere else. This merino.tech is perfect for me.

The size is not tight. It might size down after first wash. We will see.It’s very comfy and keeps you warm. But remember right layers.The socks that came free are perfect. Really good qualityWill buy again.I got the 250. Not too thin or too thick.

There is a certain "invisibility" when things work as they should wherein they are so smoothly incorporated they seem to not exist.This base layer is fantastic and I have worn it only on a small length (9k) hike thus far but intend to do a lot more.The fit is fantastic (Tall/skinny) and a medium fit me well but would have some room for larger persons.The fabric is super soft and breathable, can't wait to take this and other merino.tech products on longer, possibly colder hikes.Just make sure you know how to wash wool and DONT SHRINK IT!!

Really like this product. I have a few Merino wool base layers and this is one of the best. So glad I ordered the mid weight, not sure the lightweight ones would be much use unless multi, multi layering.It was a nice touch to get free socks but they are a wide range in size and a bit too big (uk size 8 normally).

Amazing base layer - it's warmer, lighter and more comfortable then "Specialized" big brands for hunting & fishing, which cost 2-3 times more! Usually I forget if I have it on me in the woods, so light & comfy it is, just feel warm & cozy. I've bought 4 sets for all family members. Everyone loves this Merino tech base layer. Highly recommend.

These things are awesome. I bought 4 of them at once and I love them. Currently living in Nunavut and these make for a great base layer outdoors or just as a shirt to lounge around in. The fit is really nice, the construction is good, and the wool is incredibly soft. You'll forget it's wool, except for the fact that it keeps you nice and toasty too. These are a great purchase and I plan to buy again once some of the heavy weights become available again.
