High Quality product which fixed my disa valve, prolonged the lifespan of my disa, and potentially saved a catastrophic failure of my engine. This is a high quality product that replaces the most vulnerable aspects of the disa valve. The best advice I can give before buying this product is verify that the vacuum balloons in the disa valve are still operating correctly. Would I put this product on a brand new disa? Yes! Without a doubt I would. I unfortunately can not remember what code the car was throwing as I did the fix almost 4 months ago. If i remember correctly I think it was throwing a p0171 and p0174, which I assumed was due to a torn lower intake boot. Although the lower intake boot did have a tear and was replaced. The codes did not clear and I was misfiring on all cylinders still with a p0171,p0174, with a fault, rough idling, and no precheck sound that usually comes from the disa valve upon intial start up of the vehicle. After looking up the codes and tackling the e46 fourms community they recommended checking if the disa was still intact and in working condition. Many of them recommend that if it was, buy the XBR kit. To my suprise my disa valve was stuck open due to a failure of the flap. If I had not pulled it off when I did or if the car showed no signs or symptoms I would have been screwd. The disa flap was stuck open because the plastic parts had been broken and certain parts had actually been melted ever so slightly. The process of putting the kit in and removing the items being replaced from the disa is relatively easy, as long as you have about 30mins of time and alot of patience because it may take a few tries to get everything right. For the price when compared to the competition I expected a direct drop in except one little hang up, literally. I found that 10 degrees or so before fully closed the sharp angles at the end of the plate would hang on the valve housing preventing it from reaching its closed position. Fixed the issue with a bit of dremel work to insure a complete smooth actuation and all good. Be sure the check for this before your final install. Besides that the overall quality seems to be there.

kit did not include the new O ring nor the tension retaining ring as in the photo. photo and description indicate that it should have been included. very expensive to get only partial shipment. I picked it up at the post office and went home to remove and repair the DISA on my car. Now, unable to complete the job. very disappointing. However, the billet aluminum parts appear well made. Just wish that I had received all that I purchased. Now I have to wait another week to complete the repair.I am willing to re-evaluate once I can complete the repair.Seller replied promptly and committed to send the missing parts next business day.

This was a perfect upgrade to the disa valveInstallation was a breeze(online has alot of tutorial vids on how to tackle the job)

I only had slight fitment issues with the butterfly valve door fitting in the housing and getting hung up and sticking to the housing. A bit of light sanding cured this problem but I would have liked a drop in fit. Still a great product for the price though and would recommend.

This is a must fix on your e46, as time makes the original design fall apart and possibly destroy your engine. I found it easy to install and had positive gains in hp and mpg. Everything in picture came with the kit...Watch the install video and its a snap. Thanks.
