Rockstar Energy Drink, Original, 16 Fl Oz Cans (Pack of 12)

I do like Rockstars. My complaint is when you sign up for a subscription of this product, whomever is the shipper is the issue. Only sent 2 (on delivery date) of the 5 ordered. Then a week and a half later they say they will deliver the other 3. Sorry if I buy a product and you only get 1/3 rd as stated on the date stated. That is a problem. Would you order 1/3 of anything and have to get the other 2/3's a week and a half later, would that not upset you too. And I will be expecting a discount for my inconvenience. Sounds reasonable to me.

After not being able to find these easily at big box stores, I ended up ordering them on Amazon, and I’m glad I did. I’ve been drinking Rockstar for about 15 years at this point, so it’s a hard habit to break, and it’s nice to have a reliable way to keep them stocked. I’m a working adult, but I still like the taste, and I need something to help me stay focused during the day. I also like knowing exactly how much caffeine I’m getting, which feels more consistent than coffee, where it can vary quite a bit. The price on Amazon made it a solid deal compared to what I’ve seen in stores, especially when they’re hard to find locally. The cans arrived in good condition with no dents or leaks. Overall, this is a convenient and cost-effective way to keep something I already use regularly on hand. I’ll keep ordering it this way.

I haven't had pure guarana soda for years. I've managed to find it a few times in the states over the years, but it's hard to find. When reviews started mentioning that it tasted more fruity, and I love me some rockstar, I decided to get some of this new "original" flavor. When I popped the can open I was greeted with a familiar smell. It smelled very strongly of guarana. Drinking a little bit .. well, it's a slight bit sweeter than a typical guarana soda drink (it tastes more like the guarana powder drink mixes), but I like it. I could always barely taste the guarana in the original flavor through the pungent bite, so I'm pleased that they either punched that flavor up quite a bit or toned down the ingredient that caused the biting aftertaste and smell (taurine? ginseng?) The only downside, which I'll get used to because I really like guarana, is that I did like the pungent bite that's missing in this new formula. Rockstar had been the only energy drink left that had that, and now it's gone.

I love energy drinks. Red Bull, Monster (my favorite), and Rockstar. I just love how they taste, and they do taste very similar. With Rockstar, their taste profile changed a bit over the years. I think I first noticed it some 4 years ago, maybe even a bit before Covid, but you can taste a hint of honey in there. Anyways, they all taste similar enough, and if you like those other brands, you'll like this too. As far as "ENERGY", since I consume so much caffeine, none of these really have an effect on me. I just consume these for the taste. For the price, it seems to me Monster is offered cheaper most often. Redbull always has a premium. This sits right in the middle. Anyways, get it if you find it on sale.

There isnt anything better than a Rockstar. It reminds me when I was a kid and my uncle would let me have sips of his.

Rockstar Original has been the best tasting out of all energy drinks for a long time. It had a bite at the back of the throat almost like alcohol or something and the flavor is tangy and slightly sour in a really delicious way. I literally never get tired of it. I completely replaced coffee with it. I was a little concerned when they were bought out by PepsiCO, but assumed that surely they wouldn't mess with the flagship product. I was foolishly naive. No bite, no tang, just rancid awful sweetness. The same undertaste that stops me from drinking most other energy drinks. I can't believe that they bought it out just to make it taste exactly as bad as all the others. I had to cancel my subscriptions immediately. First, they stopped selling the 24 packs, which made it all way more expensive to buy 12 packs for basically the same price. Now, they've just gone ahead and ruined the product altogether. In case you're curious, the difference seems to be that they've replaced "Sorbic Acid" and "Benzoic Acid" with "Sodium Benzoate" (that's bad) and "Potassium Sorbate" (also bad). Holding the two cans side-by-side, that appears to be the only visible difference. The Rockstar brand has a webpage with contact links. I reached out and they told me that PepsiCO is constantly adjusting it's formulas to maintain consistency of flavor. I told them that they seem to have succeeded, as I suspect that every subsequent can that I drink of this will taste exactly as gross as the last one until they change the formula back. They offered me a coupon. I said no thanks. What use is a coupon for cheaper repulsive swill? This needs to be fixed.
