Love this stuff!
I’ve used this product for years. It’s getting more difficult to find. It’s my go-to for every oily, greasy, waxy stain I have. Works like a charm every time!!!

A household necessity.
I can't tell you how many times I have reached for this product over the years. It became hard to find so I am really happy Amazon has it. It takes off the sticky from price tags and labels. It is gentle on surfaces. I've used it on greeting card lids, which are very easily scratched. I even use it on my skin to remove the adhesive from my hormone patches.. It says nothing about being harmful and I wipe the area with an alcohol soaked cotton pad afterward. It is nearly impossible to get it off any other way. I'm not giving medical advise here, I'm just saying it's effective and gentle.

World's best cleaner for removing gunk without chemicals
I discovered this product years ago and have loved it ever since! It was the first orange oil cleaner on the market and was invented as a gentle, non-toxic cleaner for removing petroleum from wildlife and other things affected by the Valdez oil spill. My wife keeps this spray in her laundry bucket. It gets out just about any oil-based stain you can think of. In fact, once, one of our kids got road tar on his sleeping bag. I was sure it was ruined, but my wife got her De-solv-it out and saturated the spot. The tar came out without leaving a trace--you wouldn't even have known it was there! She's also gotten acrylic and latex paint out of our clothes. A few times we got cooking or automotive grease on something and it got tossed in the dryer by mistake. Even when the stain was set in, she was able to soak it with this orange oil product and get the stains out! You may have to wash the garment twice--once to remove the stain and a second time to remove the orange oil, using a bit of dish soap. But it will take out stuff nothing else can handle!Guys should keep it under their workbenches to get rid of gunk on motors and car parts. It's great for removing tape and sticker goo from stuff. My wife even used it in a second-hand store to get scuff marks, sticker residue and other gunk off of books, CD jewel cases, etc., so they looked like-new.We used to be able to find this spray at Walmart and Kroger stores. However, now we can only seem to find it online. While the price is a bit steep, this product is well worth the investment. It's very versatile and lasts a long time. I wish the manufacturer would improve the sprayer on the bottle, but it's still good stuff every home should have!

Removed greasy stain from shirt even after being in dryer!
This week I was doing laundry in a public laundry mat while on vacation. I washed a shirt I had treated with another product due to a spill while eating out. I didn't realize I had missed a fairly large spot toward the botton of the shirt until I was folding it from the dryer. Well the treated spot came out fine but I knew the shirt was ruined when I saw the spot that hadn't been treated. I have NEVER had ANY product remove an oily or greasy spot once the item has been through a clothes dryer.I stated as much to another lady doing laundry. She asked me if I had ever used De-solv-it and I told her I had never heard of it. She had a bottle with her and was kind enough to let me treat the spot I missed. She said it would come clean even after being through the dryer if I treated it with the De-solv-it. I was skeptical, but I let the treatment work about an hour and ran it back through the washer/dryer and ALL OF THE GREASE I had failed to treat the first time came out. No discoloration whatsoever - and there was no trace the shirt had even had a stain. Made a believer out of me! Looked at Wal-mart but couldn't find it, so came home and found it here at Amazon. Ordered 2 bottles. This will save me a fortune in clothes so it is well worth the price. No doubt about it - I will always keep this product on hand. Will be great for clothes of babies, elderly, mechanics, special items that get stained and just for everyday spills..... Wish I had known of this product years ago!(The shirt stain was from food grease so it may need a longer treatment time than one hour for diesel grease, ink, blood stain, etc.)

Safe on most all surfaces however, don't leave it too long on clear plastic. (more than an hour.
Good Part: I love this product. It is safe on most all surfaces unlike the other brand (Goo Gone). It's also easy to remove after treating a surface to prepare for repainting. And the smell????? Well now, that's a bonus!Bad Part: It's clearly over priced and the manufacturer has strict and protected pricing to keep it controlled however, it does go a long way and lasts a while.Result: Great product from a stable company with excellent business practices to protect their awesome product. Buy it and try it..........you'll never use any other product.

Used 30 years
I am a clean freak. I’ve lived in quite a few new houses, and like to keep them looking like a model home. I have used various orange products over the years. Nothing touches this cleaner for getting rid of coffee, grease, tar, and oil based stains. I have used it on brand new pale carpets, brand new upholstered Couch and loveseat, clothes, for over 30 years. The smell is a bit strong, but it dissipates. It is my go to cleaner for oil stains. Don’t cry when somebody walks on your carpet with tar on their shoes. This stuff takes it off, just follow the directions.

I've been using this stuff for years and it's fantastic (not Fantastik
I've been using this stuff for years and it's fantastic (not Fantastik!...it's so much better). If you have a stain from grease or tomato sauce or anything oily, this is the stuff you want. If you've got gum stuck on the carpet in your car, this is the stuff you want. It's not toxic, it works great and does what it advertises. I always have it in the garage and laundry room. I just got a tomato sauce stain on a good shirt and washed it before applying De Solv It. After washing it I thought I'd set the stain in but I tried De Solv It anyway on it, put it back in the washer and it came out totally clean, no stain at all. The stuff really works, no foolin'.
