Alka-Slim by Morter HealthSystem

I have used Alka Slim in the past, and it has helped me lose weight every time. It doesn't taste horrible, but is also not good (especially alone). I mix in in a smoothie with fresh berries and a little fruit concentrate. I find that apple juice, and berries tend to mix best flavor wise. The ingredients are great, and I love that there are no added sweeteners. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a healthy meal replacement.

My sister gave me her container, and then I bought one here. I so wanted this stuff to work, but sadly enough it did not meet my expectations. The first month I did lose 4 pounds, but gained 2 pounds back. The second month I lost those 2 pounds and the 3rd month I lost nothing. So in three months I have lost 4 pounds total, not bad 4 pounds is 4 less pounds. but at 40 dollars a month, and at this rate I will be broke by the time I lose the 20 pounds I need to lose. It does not really fill you up, and there is no appetite suppressant in it, so you are hungry half an hour later. I used it as a meal replacement (Breakfast) and yes I was starving by the time lunch came around (and for those who are wondering if I over ate at lunch NO! Just a small salad). My sister tried this as well and she did not lose anything either. She did not like it at all. She said all it did was give her gas, and made her feel very bloated lol. Thank God I did not have that problem, but I did think I would lose more than just 4 pounds in 3 months. I think I am going to try something different. I kind of think this is just a more expensive version of slim fast, which is about ¼ of the price, but at least that has an appetite suppressant in it. So for me this was a very disappointing product.

With all the hype about getting enough protein, it is wonderful to find a product that only has 7 grams per serving. WeAmericans eat way too much protein and dairy. Interestingly, the countries that eat high proportionate amounts of protein anddairy products also have the highest incidence of osteoporosis. It's something to explore.It is also full of other nutrients and I find I have a good amount of energy when using this product.

I just wanted to share my experience with this product, I use it as a meal replacement/vitamin drink. My formula is 6oz any flavor V8 fusion juice, 2oz water, 2 scoops alkaslim, half a scoop designer whey natural protein powder. I really can tell the difference when I take this drink, my problem was without the protein I would get hungry sooner. With the addition of the protein it helps me stay full longer. 16.5 grams of protein, 34.5 grams carbs for only ~230 calories.

I really like the taste of this. I add it to 6oz of fruit juice and some water. I just started a diet plan with this product two weeks ago. It includes eating lots of apples (very cleansing) and a few cups of veggies during the day as well as some other fruits. Dinner is whatever I want, but for the most part only whole grain products, 25% of the meal is lean meat, no sugar snacks, and a salad. Week one; I lost 6lbs and and 4 inches. Can't wait to see if week two goes as well.
