The Lifegiving Home Experience: A 12-Month Guided Journey

Work book definitley optional.
The book itself is a great tool for helping to get your home tailored to Godly service and hospitality. I purchased the book and the workbook for a bible/book study group. I found the work book to be helpful in jump starting things to talk about in the group but some of the questions were a little vague. I feel like the questions sometimes answered themselves. I also felt a little repetition throughout the workbook in the questions. It was a good tool for discussion, but didn't really feel it helped me dive deep into the book or making it apply to my life more.

Well Purchased Item!
The 12-month guide is awesome, I love the practical advice and game plan Sally lays out. Lots of easily implemented ideas to create meaningful family memories and encourage/instill good character in all of us.The book itself is a great tool for helping to get your home tailored to Godly service and hospitality. I purchased the book and the workbook after having our 1st baby and this has been a total blessing for me and my family. I'm a HUGE fan!

Great book on cultivating a warm, hospitable home environment
Highly recommend anything by the Clarkson family if you want to enjoy a rich family life with a solid faith base. This book is wonderful for encouraging you to enjoy and celebrate each season of the year. A great gift to give or to keep for yourself.

Highly recommend!
This book has really affected my wife and has supercharged tendencies she's already had to create a warm, inviting home to host in. Highly recommend!

Not what I was hoping for
I loved the companion volume to this book. I was hoping this was going to be a type of planning resource to go along with the month chapters in the main book. (That's how it was presented in the ad page in the companion volume) It's not, it's almost identical to the main book. Each month has a section written by Sally (it seems like a continuation of the chapter in the main book), a short Bible study, and then a few lines to write down who has birthdays that month and what special things you're going to do with your family. That's it.No ideas on what to do if your family isn't interested in tea parties and seasonal "stuff" cluttering up your home. No pages to flesh out your own ideas to fine tune your family culture. No space to plan out your families routines or schedules. This book should've been promoted as a Bible study to accompany the main book.

Love this book. Sally and Sarah have a great writing style and invite you into their lives. They have great ideas on how to improve family life while always admitting that it isn't easy and encouraging you along the way.

Love this book!
What a fresh breath of air! Sally Clarkson has written so many amazing books (Desperate and Mission of Motherhood are two of my favorites!), and she's done it again. This book will be read and reread many times as I strive to bring more life into our home.
