Five Stars
Very well translated, I learned a lot reading this. I am looking forward to seeing Musa Furber translate many more books like these into English, these are very much needed in the west. May Allah (SWT) protect and reward him for his efforts.

Students of Fiqh Must Read
This book is a beautiful refutation of those who attempt to discredit the Madhāhib and the people who claim to follow the Madhāhib whilst attacking the scholars associated. This is definitely something that every student of Fiqh MUST have in their library, as well as any laymen interested in knowledge.

Fantastic Book, not excellent translation
The fact that Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali was a coherent and prolific writer shines through the translation of time, space, and language. However, Musa Furber sometimes confuses the sentence structure. No way am I suggesting this book is incoherent, but there are sentences which do not make sense in English.Four stars because of some of the long-winded, slightly awkward, and hard-to-grasp sentence structures. If I were to rate Ibn Rajab's argument, though, this forum would not be adequate, and I'd have to write a commentary on this book to do it some form of justice.

Defense of the 4 Mudhaahib
This text by Ibn Rajab (رَحِمَهُ الله) destroys the Salafi / Ahlu Hadith notion of abandoning the 4 mudhaahib.

Great Refutation
This classical read is quite the essay. It is direct and necessary for every student of knowledge to read. I know I've already profited from what I learned.

Amazing and so timely it could have been written yesterday
Amazing and so timely it could have been written yesterday, because the defects of the souls who lead one to left the schools and search to attract the attention on oneself is a timeless affair. It's a book which should be on every student of knowledge shelve and the best argumentation to this day about this issue. It tackle as well the issue of pseudo-following a school while in reality claiming in practice to be an independent thinker.The translation is great as well as the benchmarking and the biographies help a lot to situate all the people Ibn Rajab speak about;

A bit too short
A concise book that needed more details to convince me of its position. The overall argument was good but without details, there is much left unanswered

Good decent short write up that shows these deviants aren’t anything new
A good decent write up by Imam Ibn Rajab that perfectly encapsulates the behaviour of the modern Salafis

Great book!
Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali answering some of the major misconceptions about the following of the four madhahib. It almost felt like he knew our situation today.

It's a short but highly important treatise, not only ...
It's a short but highly important treatise, not only describing the importance of following a madhhab and the consequences of neglecting it, but it also conveys the virtues of Imam Ahmad and the dangers of discussions and debates among Muslim laypersons.
