Solid performance and features at an excellent price. Great value for a mid spec AMD system
I bought three Asus Motherboards at Christmas time - the B550M TUF (mAtx), a B550 ROG Strix-F and this B550 TUF. I use this board with a Ryzen 3600, an RTX 3060ti and a Samsung NVME 970 Evo. They have worked flawlessly together since then. This board has some great features - space for 2 NVME drives, a thunderbolt header, multiple USB options at the rear including USB-C and good looks. The ARGB headers made life very easy to configure an attractive system. In some ways, I prefer the more subtle looks of this board to the Strix, although there's no doubt I'd go for that one if I wanted the more blingy system. The system has been really solid and configuration was a breeze. The only issues I'd watch out for is read the manual, as some SATA ports are disabled if you are using the PCI-E 3 NVME socket. My sole minor issues with this board is the choice of a bespoke 14 pin thunderbolt 3 header, different from other manufacturers choices and the lack of a second heatsink for the top NVME drive. That said, the thunderbolt issue is a niche feature that most buyers won't require, and shouldn't put them off purchase because they can always buy the Asus supported card. As far as the heatsink goes, I bought a drive with one on anyway, so it wasn't a problem and unless you're using a really fast drive, it's probably not necessary anyway.Highly recommended!

Top board
Nice board, have had it for a while now and so far not single issue, powerful and compact and easy to install.

Great for the Price
For a standard PC setup, this does the job brilliantly. I paired this with an AMD Ryzen 5600G, a Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD, and it gives good performance for every-day use and acceptable performance on some of the earlier C.O.D. games. Do note however that if you have a case with more than two case fans you will have to buy a splitter, as there is provision for only 2 case fans (and 1 cpu fan).Fittimng of the AMD processor was not as straightforward as an intel equivalent, requiring access to the rear of the motherboard and the use of screws. So make sure you fit the processor before you install the motherboard in your case.In summary, a good motherboard at a good price.

Good, cheap and Works with ryzen 3000 series
I needed to upgrade my cpu, I had an i5 2400 and really wanted to upgrade but in order to upgrade the cpu i needed to upgrade the motherboard.I went with this one because it was a lot cheaper than some other flashier ones, I’m not to bothered about how it looks I’m only bothered that it works so because it’s ASUS I thought it would be good.I was so surprised how good it actually was for the price.I wasn’t sure that it would take certain cpus, like the ryzen 3000 series so I went for a ryzen 2600x but that’s another story. On the box it says I does work with the ryzen 3000 series I so I will upgrade at another date.Loading into the bios the update was pretty recent I think from around April 2020 so it only needed one update which was the most recent update and this was easy to do as I was connected to the internet, and it was fast. The motherboard seems to stay around 35 - 45 degrees depending on the work loads and ambient temperatures and as I bought this during a heat wave I’m expecting those temps to drop when this killer heat dies down.Only one con I can think of is the io metal shield part, it felt cheaply made and it didn’t seem to sit quite right with the connection from the mother board, I had to bend little bits I don’t know if that was just me doing it wrong or not, it fit fine but I wasn’t totally happy with it.So if you are looking for a decent no frills motherboard for AMD Ryzen 3000 series this is a good motherboard as far as I can tell.

Excellent budget motherboard with nice io
The media could not be loaded. My ryzen 5600 worked straight out the box!Had to get this one due to the board I was originally getting didn’t have next day. Therefore ordered this instead. Was surprised to see it was ryzen 5000 ready with a sticker showing on the box. Was prepared to use the built in bios flash back.Nice to have all usb 3 / 3.2 ports on the back. And the addition of NVME drives. Which I will be getting soon.Really simple board to wire up and was fun to move to amd after using intel for years. Will enjoy this board until I need to upgrade my 1070 in the coming year or 2 which will be replaced for one with PCI-E Gen 4 to maximise performance for a newer GPU5 stars all day.

Strong performer
I chose this board for a PC build for my brother at Christmas and I'm impressed at how much bang for your buck performance there is. We're going to build the PC together so I haven't been able to put it in to a case yet, but when doing a bench test to confirm that all the parts worked as expected I was really impressed by it. The AMD 3600XT is doing great with PBO overclocking and it had absolutely no trouble running 3200Mhz RAM which can't be said of the B450 board I chose for my own build! I updated the BIOS to the latest version and liked that it was still UEFI - my own board had the mouse input/graphics side taken away during a BIOS update to support the 3000 series CPUs.It's doing great on a long running Prime 95 stress test, the only minor thing is the VRMs seemed to get hot quite quickly given it was an open air test bench. It also took me jumping to Google to find out how to enable XMP, but other than that it's been impressive. The board layout seems good and the "Aurora" lighting gives quite a nice subtle effect (which is easy to disable if it annoys you). I wish the IO shield had some printing on it rather than indenting labels for the ports, but that's a minor point given it's at the back of the PC.Overall it feels like a great motherboard for a mid level build and I have no doubts about it performing well for my brothers first gaming pc!
