Easy to use and so very useful in year 2025!
For me this has been an absolute Godsend. I have many cables in my spare cable box and rather then have to test them randomly to see which still works I have been able to use this inexpensive device to check, which to date it has done reliably, leading me to bin the faulty cables with confidence. I have also used it to test cables when devices haven’t been working correctly to find that there has inevitably been a cable problem and having purchased an RJ45 crimping tool I can now reassure myself that the crimping has worked OK. I’m very happy with this purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

works and very helpful
does exactly what it says it would, easy to use. Invaluable when laying and terminating ethernet cable. Needs a 9V battery not included.

POE security cameras not working? Easy to see if it’s a cable issue with this kit
This network cable tester is straightforward and very easy to use, even for someone with limited networking experience. The setup is simple: connect the master unit to one end of the cable and the detachable remote to the other. It quickly identifies whether a cable is wired correctly or if there is a break or fault, which makes troubleshooting far easier. The instructions are clear and simple to follow, which is especially helpful for those who are new to networking tasks. The device feels well made and reliable in operation. The only drawback is that it does not come with batteries included, which would have made it ready to use straight out of the box. Overall, this is a practical and dependable tool for testing network cables. It is beginner-friendly, accurate in identifying faults, and good value for anyone setting up or maintaining a small network.

Fine
Seems to work well. I think the biggest issue is me operating it. Although the documentation is helpful I didn't need to use AI to help guide me through the process

Great product - Must have for any Tech/IT individuals
Great product, had to wait for Ethernet cable I put together to see if this works and it did! it allowed me to see a mirroring error perfectly and enabled me to fix the cable. Great piece of kit and highly recommend. My hobby is to work on electrics, networking, cabling, tools etc and this is definitely one to add to the collection for any IT individual who wants to extend Ethernet runs.

Worked fine on a cable I knew worked well
Just a quick test on a couple of ethernet cables. I absolutely knew one worked fine and had 8 cores. The device detected all 8 as working - so all good there. Another was an older cable and I could not say if it was any good. The device did seem to detect some cores were working although seemed to flash the lights in no particular order (from master to remote) - so maybe a dodgy cable? I'm not an expert on these things but happy that the cable I knew worked passed the test.

accurate operation
It worked perfectly but no battery (9v) included. Bought to test my assembly of Ethernet cable. Whilst reassuring to have, not sure it was money best spent in my case.

Accurate, Easy to Use, and Great for DIY Networking
This cable tester works exactly as described. It’s simple to use — just plug in both ends of the cable and it quickly shows you if everything is wired correctly. It’s helped me identify a few bad cables and confirm my new Cat6 runs were good. The build quality feels solid, and the detachable remote makes it super convenient for testing longer cables in different rooms. It’s small, lightweight, and easy to carry in a tool bag. For the price, it’s an excellent tool for anyone setting up or troubleshooting home or office networks. Highly recommend for both beginners and tech enthusiasts.
