Ikea AKERKULLA 3pc Queen Duvet Quilt Cover 100 Percent Cotton, Flower

Saw this at ikea but they didn't have it in stock - amazon to the rescue! Even though I had to wait a few months, quite a few months actually, and kept checking back until it was available. Looks simply beautiful in my room and the feel of the material is very crisp and cool.

I really like this duvet, it's prettier in person, and is cotton. I also like that it is reversible and both sides are nice. Usually reversible's only have one side I really like, but not this one. Love both sides. Washed and dried it (it did come out a little wrinkley but I ironed it and it was fine). The only negatives I would give is that the pillow shams slide over the top of the pillow with a cuff to tuck the pillow in, but it is still floppy looking so I sewed a red button on the bottom of each so it has a crisper look, it should have come like that anyway though. The other is that it doesn't have the corner ties inside it, but so far I haven't had an issue with it moving or bunching.

I think this duvet cover looks better in life than in the picture. It is washable, cheerful, and has red buttons as closures. I did not find I needed to iron it after washing, though if you are a crisp, ironed sheet person, you might want to iron it. There was no shrinkage or fading with washing. It is also reversible, so it's like getting two products in one.

I ordered this for myself and I loved the print. Very rustic, Portuguese =) Anyhow, I think it would be a very good summer duvet cover but since it's winter I have found it to be a bit cool. The only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 is because yes, it's beautiful but get super wrinkled in dryer. I guess I could iron it but... haha

It's technically reversible with the red striped pattern on the reverse but the scandinavian print is so cute I don't see myself flipping it over. I love that the pillow shams just slide onto the pillow (opening at the bottom of the pillow) so they are easy to get on and off.

Maybe it,s because I'm European and I'm use to very good quality cotton sheets, but for me those sheets are a little rough, the fabric is a little bit too stiff for my taste.The average quality of the Duvet it's pretty good.The design is very Beautiful, absolutely gorgeous .

My husband and I love this duvet set! We went back to try to find other matching items but Akerkulla is discontinued! Best of all, you can actually wash the duvet cover in hot, HOT water and it stays white!

I completely love this set but I cant believe I paid almost $100 for it. I almost cancelled the order, nearly sent it back when it arrived but it looks so joyful and sweet on my bed I just cant resist. The dutch design makes me so very happy!
