This is the best blush that I have ever tried
This is the best blush that I have ever tried! I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts. Jourer Mineral Blush is light and does not appear shiney when applied. The color does not last the entire day, and I sometimes do re apply once, but other than that, this is a must have in my makeup bag. I first purchased this product on a trip to Las Vegas; loved the blush, and I have been using it for the past four years. Great product for those of us with oily skin.

Packaging sucks, product itself is very sheer.
I bought this in the shade "Bougainvillea". The packaging arrived broken, the pan was not glued onto the compact. Good thing the product itself was safe. It's a pretty sheer blush, you'll need to layer and layer it to get a nice color. One swipe is not enough for me, it looks like nothing. Not really happy with this one.

Rich, dense color; blends easy; color staying power.

Royal Flush
Usually use pink blush, and would describe this shade as leaning more toward the peach. Take note that shade is considerably more orange based than what comes across in photo. The GOOD: Am ivory complected, and this gave me a flattering flush that looked natural (more or less). Or rather, it looked natural after it wore off a bit, and that's OK. And being this is a mineral based cosmetic, the finish and application are a silken dream. Blends beautifully. No chalky or powdery finish either, which is something you want to avoid because that's very aging. Nice product, although mildly pigmented, so it gives a subtle glow. Blush is nicely buildable too - for nightime you might want to apply with a heavier hand. The BAD: On the other hand, for what you're getting this is definitely overpriced. Have used a myriad of blushes (actually prefer gel/cream versions which are longer lasting) that cost a fraction of this price, all with excellent results. Don't see that this has much lasting power either, and that's what women are looking for. Who wants to get keep retouching up "the face"? Also, found the compact a bit too small, and zero oomph factor to packaging. However, if you're into high end makeup, would recommend Francois Nars' blushes, which cost the same as Jouer's. His blushes are considered the gold standard by many professional makeup artists.VERDICT: Too pricey for what you're getting (two stars off for underwhelming effect). Actually, if I had my druthers would give this three and one half stars.

Nice soft color that can be made bolder as needed
The first thing noticeable is the basic, bare bones packaging. Something that should become standard practice. However, if you find this in the store, the packaging may be different. I've noticed some products from Amazon come in basic packaging yet their counterparts at the local store are bigger (to reel you in with branding and marketing) and wrapped in hard to cut plastic. The plastic rectangle container perplexed me. (You can see it in the close-up photos of the product.) I thought it might have some hidden object. After a little research (the box didn't explain it), I found out the "side arms" are for stacking other Jouer products for easier storage. This is the first Jouer product I've tried, so there aren't any others to test the stacking feature. It opens like any other flip-top makeup product. One side has the pinkish rose blush and the other has a mirror. It doesn't come with a brush, but most blush products don't since it typically requires a big brush. My face is pale and my skin is mixed. Some places are a little oily (not the cheekbones), some dry and some normal. Cheekbones aren't oily The color worked blended nicely with my complexion, and brown hair with blonde highlights. A base amount gives it a gentle pinkish look. Adding more darkens the color, something I'd do for evening events or going someplace dark. The lightweight blush looks and feels soft. It's not harsh, oily or sparkly. That's all I can ask for as long as the color is right.I can only speak for my skin type as I'm no makeup pro. (One plus for working in a home office -- limits makeup use.) The price ($24) is higher than people who shop for makeup at super stores like Target and Walmart. The price is competitive with makeup in department stores. Some are higher and some about the same. One brand's lowest price was $30 and it came with the small blush brush. Two other brands were $26 and $30. Didn't find many for $24 or less unless they're the kind of brands you find in super stores and grocery stores.I hope you found this review helpful and show it with a quick click of yes.
