What a difference!
I have a dual axle 6500lbs travel trailer. It came with a standard Y Equalizer and plastic bushings. Combined the Lippert Equa-Flex with a new bronze bushing and wet bolt kit.Install took about 4 hours. The hardest part was getting the old bolts off the hangars followed by squeezing the new bronze bushings in. The Equa-Flex comes with cheap plastic bushings and quite frankly you'd have to be an idiot to go through all the trouble of paying for the Equa-Flex upgrade and not also upgrade the bushings. There original plastic bushings on my equalizers were cracked and worn in one season of use (2500 miles).Regardless, the Equa-Flex difference is immediately noticeable once towing. No more thudding or that clunking feeling through the frame from the weight shifting pulling away or bumpy roads. Way smoother ride on the highway or around town. Expansion joints are so much smoother now.My next trailer will have this on at the dealer or I'm not buying it. Should be OEM on all dual and triple axle TTs!

game changer while towing
These spring leaf equalizers took a lot of the bucking out of my fifth wheel while towing.

Perfect fit
All leaf spring trailers should have these.

Smoother Ride
I highly recommend these for a smoother ride on your trailer. Relatively simple to install. You will notice the difference right away. No more rattling in the hitch while towing, and that back-bounce in the tow vehicle. And RR tracks are so much smoother!

Big Improvement in Trailer Ride, but Big Installation Job for this DIY'er
I installed the 4k-6k Equa-flex along with the MorRyde Wet Bolt Shackle Upgrade kit on my Outback 27RLS travel trailer (8K GVWR). This was the proper kit for my tandem axles, each having a weight rating of 5K. Now that it is complete, I am happy with the ride improvement of the trailer, which is much improved over the standard suspension with just a straight equalizer.I did the installation myself in my driveway, doing one side at a time, using two jackstands, a bottle jack for jacking the frame to place the stands, and two bottle jacks for the axles. Installation was a fairly big job, but the hardest part was not getting the old bolts and nuts off; it was setting the last bolt to attach the second leaf spring to the Equa-flex equalizer arm. I used PB Blaster to soak the old nuts overnight, then used an electric impact wrench which made short work of the rusty nuts, so removal of old hardware was pretty easy. Likewise, getting the new bronze bushings and new bolts in was pretty easy except for the final bolt. The problem is that the spring eyes don't match up perfectly with the Equa-Flex if you are replacing the standard 13-104 equalizer and keeping the same shackle length. The directions don't tell you this, and make it seem like the installation is very straightforward. I had to use a crowbar, a prybar, and a couple of wooden blocks to deflect the springs enough to get that last bolt in. No amount of axle jacking would result in the right amount of deflection and height to get the last spring eye to line up with the Equa-flex arm. I really wish the directions would have been more detailed and hadn't left it to me to figure out how to make the installation work. In the end, however, I did it and am happy with the final result.

Smoother Ride over bumps in the road
This did not take long to install. After installation, I drove home about 250 miles and you can definitely feel the difference with a smoother, less jerky ride when hitting bumps.

No bolts or shackle plates are included! :-(
They want another hundred dollars for bolts and nuts and shackle plates! it’s a little bit too much for what you get. This was a replacement of the same original product installed on my travel trailer. The only option. The first set failed. How long will these last?? Time to sell the trailer.
