TH2110DV1008 PRO 2000 Vertical Programmable Thermostat

I upgraded my non-programmable Honeywell thermostat, and this was the perfect replacement. It uses the same mounting plate and there was no need to rewire anything. Installation was easy. Removed the old thermostat and snap the new one into place. All of the connectors lined up perfectly, and everything fit exactly as expected. This was a simple, hassle-free upgrade that took only a few minutes and works great. I only wish they made a wifi version that uses the same wiring.

The wiring is a bit different than the original (from 2010), but easy enough for me to figure out. The mounting points were also just different enough that I waited for my son to show up with his electric drill/screwdriver to mount it. In order to utilize the larger hole for wiring already in the wall it is mounted ever so slightly crooked, but really only noticeable if you’re looking for it. It works better than the original ever did, so I’m quite pleased with my purchase.

We were unsure if this would work for our needs, but decided to go out on a limb because it was really the only option we could find. We needed a vertical thermostat that would fit over our existing electrical box and needed something programmable that would work on a millivolt system. We switched from a non programmable thermostat to this. I didn't like how the fireplace just ran all night long even though everyone was asleep and no one was using the space. Wasting gas and money. This works for our needs. It only serves to turn on and off our gas fireplace.

Replaced the 10 year old item with same footprint to not have to touch up paint.

Bought to replace older thermostat that went bad. Being the same exact unit originally installed in my house made it super easy to replace. Works excellent. Fixed my problem. Very happy.

This is the second one I purchased. I tried a cheaper brand/model and was so disappointed, I discarded it and ordered a second one of these and I am smiling again. I appreciated even more the ability to do all the programming from my arm chair and once completed snap it onto the mounting bracket. I increased my rating to 5 stars from 4; Here is my review of the first unit: We were looking for a programmable millivolt compatible thermostat. This one is pretty good. I got a bit worried when I went to change the unit of measure to °C and it was not in the first set of instructions and not on the box either... but it was in the advanced settings. It worked fine when the installer tested the fireplace. It's a 5-2 programmable model so it does have limitations and does not have WiFi connectivity but still pretty good.

I used this to regulate a natural gas fireplace. Just on and off at programmable time of day. The installation instruction just uses wire colors to show where to connect and of course they didn't match mine. It didn't show which terminals are the ON-OFF contact. I had to use a multimeter to determine that. The instruction for setting did not mention the WAKE; LEAVE; RETURN; SLEEP functions. Took awhile to get that straight. The words in the display are too small. On the good side, this is the only thermostat that was a direct fit to the 4 inch utility box that my old thermostat had been mounted on.
