Great keyboard that's not only for gaming
For background, this is my 4th G-series keyboard (5 if you count one I gave my dad for his birthday). Three of them have been the G510s so I have a good amount of experience with this keyboard. I work at home typing 8 hours a day for a living and usually eat at my desk so my keyboards have to work hard and take a fair amount of abuse. There are fairly well-known problems with space bars with this keyboard, and every time I have bought a new one, it was because of this space bar problem on the old one (where it won't space anymore unless you hit it right in the middle). Two of the three G510's were completely worn out and a few years old before this problem emerged (letters scratched off keys and just looking ragged overall), and one happened in under a year. That time, Logitech replaced it free of charge and I got good service.Every time before I buy a new keyboard, I look around and nothing compares to this keyboard in my opinion. As anther poster stated, the G-keys are the best in the industry. Easy to program and easy to use. The keyboard is large and fairly heavy compared to a standard keyboard and I like the extra room and the extra weight. Keeps it from sliding around so much on the tray. The tactile qualities are very very good in my opinion. It's a comfortable keyboard to type on. The backlighting with the different colors is excellent, and I couldn't live without the screen with whatever information you want to see on it (I keep it on date and clock most of the time). I am bad about wearing the letters and numbers off keys because I type so much. It happens with this keyboard, but it takes about a year before it really shows signs, whereas other keyboards will show wear within a couple of months. If you are not typing on it constantly like I am, you will probably never have this problem. I'm actually very impressed with how long they do last before showing signs of wear. My elderly dad has had his over a year and it still looks brand new. He especially likes the G-keys so he doesn't have to fumble around to go to the same places online every day. This time when my space bar started acting up, I decided to try the refurbished version because it cost about half as much as new, and I figured if I was going to have space bar problems, I'd rather have them on a 60 dollar keyboard than a 120 dollar keyboard. I got the package in good shape and the keyboard was in a generic black keyboard box. It was in like new condition - in fact I would have thought it was new if I didn't know better. Everything works perfectly and I am delighted. I would do it again from this vendor in a heart beat because I just can't do without the features of this keyboard.I will say, I don't use this keyboard for games, although if I ever get a game I can use it on, I'm sure I will be pleased. It is marketed as a gaming keyboard, but you can program those keys to open word or excel documents, web pages, calculator, or pretty much anything online or on your local computer.

but love the programmability of the keyboard for my software development ...
I don't game, but love the programmability of the keyboard for my software development tasks. Reduces many repetitive, multi-key stroke tasks to a single key press.

Looks and works like new. Very Impressed for the money.
I wanted to leave a positive review about this refurbished Logitech G510s keyboard. I will focus more on the refurbished nature, rather than the keyboard itself, since there are many great reviews out there already. There seems to be less feedback regarding the quality of the refurbished units. When I was considering this keyboard, I struggled whether or not I should buy the new one or the refurbished model. Typically I don't mind buying refurbished as long as I trust the supplier. I have never used this supplier before and I saw some mixed reviews for this keyboard as a refurb, but decided to give it a try.The Positive:First off, the unit I received was very clean. It had no scratches or any signs of being used. It did come in an unmarked black cardboard box. It was wrapped in protective wrap and had clear protective plastic covering the displays. I checked all the keys and all the functions and they seem to work correctly. My Logitech Gaming software recognized it with no problems and all the G-Keys are recognized and work correctly. The screen works perfect and I can select many different data displays to cycle through. I really like this feature since I can keep the date and time up or monitor my CPU and RAM utilization, etc.The Negative:The keyboard did not come with any disc. This is not a problem for me since I always download the current software from manufacturers when I get a new device. I want to benefit from the current updates. The keyboard did not come with the "extender" for the heel of your palm. This is the plastic piece that plugs in to the front of the keyboard to make the surface longer where your hands rest. Again, not really a problem for me, I never really use those. In Summary:I think the unit I received is a quality product that was worth the $60 I spent. I don't see the missing plastic keyboard extender or lack of a CD as much of a drawback for the price I paid. I am happy with my keyboard and with my purchase. The keyboard works flawlessly, looks and feels brand new.

Nope.
Its huge, but thats not why I give this product 1 star. I also do not take into consideration that it is not a mechanical keyboard because, contrary to popular belief, not everyone likes using one. I personally do, so for the price, I feel like there are better bargains out there for a mechanical keyboard. With that said, the keyboard itself, as advertised, is just disappointing. I was previously using a generic keyboard and thought I should upgrade to a gaming keyboard. When it arrived and I gave it a try I had to switch back to the generic keyboard. Primarily, the keys are springy and unresponsive, especially the space bar. The space bar seems to have a design flaw. It pivots from one side to the other and if you happen to press it on either end, it simply wont register the click. You need to press it down squarely at the middle of the key to have your click registered. Sucks. The lighting on the keys could be brighter....much brighter. Don't expect to enjoy the lighting in a well lit room. The angle of the keyboard itself is leaning forward, even with the adjusted legs in the upright position -they don't really do much but place the keyboard at an almost flat position. The LCD screen is a gimmick. Its a nice feature, but it does not outweigh the bad. The overwall finish of the keyboard is decent, and the blue plastic cover is polished enough but still, the lack of practical use outweighs any aesthetic pros the keyboard can offer. I ended up downgrading in price to the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate and I have not looked back. (Even though I bought the refurbished product at a cheaper price, my complaints mirror those of people who have paid the full $120 price). Even though It doesnt sport the crazy amount of mac keys, the quality and typing experience far exceeds that of the G510s.
