PB Swiss 8190/2-100 Screwdrivers for 2 Phillips Screws

Had to buy a few, just to see if the accolades were true. They are. They exude quality. A bit understated, but a life-time tool, that is a pleasure to use. Make nice gifts too.

For most hand tightening I like the grip profile better than most other brands in my medium sized hands. While it’s subjective, if you use a manual screwdriver for very long you may decide to try something different. Also the tip shows no wear or deformation and the laser engraved markings on the shaft are a nice touch. PB Swiss has an excellent reputation for quality and it will quickly become apparent after the first usage.

This took a long time to get from Japan. It was worth the wait. I have been on the hunt for the ultimate screwdriver. I bought one of each of the top brands and have used them to see which one I like the most. Unfortunately I bought a couple Wera kits before I started the testing. Wish I would have waited because PB Swiss beats Wera IMHO. Personally I find the PB Swiss grip amazing. The grip texture is hard to describe. It's tacky and feels great. It isn't that soft though like the Felo. PB Swiss is expensive, but feel after usage that they are worth the cost. Remarkably well made and suitable for highend components where you want the screwdriver to fit black or silver PhillipsScrew heads perfectly. The best screwdriver I’ve owned. I have a few other tools by this manufacturer and they are all super well made! Buy with fullConfidence you are buying the best.

Fits great and super tough tip. No slipping and stripping as the edges round off. Would appreciate a larger handle for torque, but very pleased overall. Avoid the temptation to keep your worn, soft, poorly fitting Phillips. Toss them and save the heartache.

My 2 screwdrivers arrived on time and in new shape. Very happy with them. This is the first time I orderedthem separately. Usually I order by the set. Since it was a number 2 Philips I got a couple extras. These are not like my set. There is a large black UPC code on the side that really sticks out. Not the nice solid red handles but black bars. Also the S/N numbers are the same on both the screwdrivers. I thought S/N stood for serial number. How can they have the same serial number on both if this is indeed the serial number. Eventually I will be giving these sets to other techs to use and I want the original screwdrivers back undamaged. It's difficult to find PB Swiss to replace them if a tech loses them but too easy forsomeone to go into my drawer and take another screwdriver and forget they lost a tool. Techs who losetools also forget to install set screws back into gas manifolds, due proper maintenance and generallycost the company money. I wish these were like my other screwdrivers in my sets without the large black UPC code on the side. Still great tools.

Absolutely outstanding tool. Everything is done right with this screwdriver.If this suits your personal preferences as to handle type and size, you can't go wrong with PB Swiss.Black oxide-like tip is long lasting and fits superbly. Plated shaft has laser etched size marking as does the handle. The butt end of the grip has a color-coded identification that I have found to be helpful.This model has the "Swiss Grip" handles, a soft fluted handle that feels just right in the hand and resists rolling on an inclined surface.An excellent Swiss made tool.Strongly recommended.

Nice standard #2 Phillips screwdriver from PB Swiss. Handle has good grip plus flats which prevent it from rolling off on surfaces. Interestingly there is a serial number on the shaft. Suppose to be made with a high quality spring steel and tip is coated (?) for wear resistance. There are no grip grooves on the blade like you see on a Wera. Time will tell about durability. Not sure if it's worth the price, but if you want to have one of the best in your kit, a PB Swiss tool in general is a nice addition.

And it looks gorgeous. The handle material is lovely and the metal feels unbreakable too. Very nice finish and, in my opinion, made to last a lifetime. You pay a little more, although sometimes that is not too bad, but all other brands are dwarfed compared to Swiss Tools. I have a 12-piece set and fear it won't stop there.

Very nice handle moulding, very clean and well finished. I like how the profile of the tip is double shot into the plastic on the base so it will last.I'm not that impressed by the tip, doesn't grip as well as Wera or my Vessel PH2 screwdrivers. Slips a lot more and doesn't fit as snugly.Tip is magnetised though.I paid £5 delivered through prime for this, for that price I would give this maybe a 4 out of 5? But for anything more than £5 it's a 3 out of 5.
