HELMET WORKS WELL FOR OUR 10 MONTH OLD, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We bought this padded helmet for our 10 month old who has been trying to climb up on everything lately and we have hardwood floors. I decided she needed a helmet because she decided to pull herself up in our kitchen and grabbed a snack from her shelf and for some reason thought she could just turn around and walk away with it. Obviously that wasn't going to happen. My husband and I were making dinner and he literally dove across the kitchen floor and caught her right before her head hit the floor Thank God, because she was going down like a tree falling in the forest. It was at this moment that I stopped making dinner and searched amazon for a helmet because she has already hit her head one too many times for our liking. We received the helmet pretty quickly and I tried it on her as soon as I received it. It is just a tad too big for her head right now even at its tightest. It fits but it will also fall in her eyes a little making it difficult for her to see. I am sure it will fit better in a month or so. Even though it's a little big we do still use it when we can't have our eyes completely focused on her. When I first put it on she starts winning and tries to pull it off so I tell her no and just hold it on her head for a few seconds and she ends up keeping it on. When we first received it she literally fell and hit her head within the first 5 minutes of wearing it. When she fell she laid there and started to cry for about half a second then realized hey that didn't hurt and got up and went on her merry way.My daughter is one of those babies that will hold her breath when she gets really upset and it scares the heck out of us because it seems like she is holding her breath for a very long time before she will finally start to cry. This helmet works great and does what its intended to do. Our pediatrician doesn't think she needs it and said babies are going to fall and hit there head and as long as it's not from I high level she will be just fine. He does feel we are being ridiculous having her wear the helmet but I don't want my baby to get hurt and she has the most heartbreaking cry. Her cry will cause other people to cry so if there is something I can do to prevent her from getting hurt even if it's minor then I don't care who thinks we are being ridiculous. The one thing I don't like is the ties since our pediatrician made a good point when telling g us that if the ties get caught on something she could choke. When she has the helmet on, I don't tie it under her chin. Instead I just tir them together and tuck the ties inside the helmet to keep them our of the way. My husband thought that the helmet would come off her head when she falls and hits the floor if it's not tied because the helmet is loose but this is not the case. Even without tying it, the helmet stays on her head. The padding is thick enough to prevent her from getting hurt. Overall this was a good purchase decision and I definitely recommend getting this especially of you have hardwood floors like we do.

Creating a hat for an adult with Huntington's disease.
I am using the Safety Head Cushion Bumper Bonnet to create a hat for a friend who has Huntington's disease. She is a small gracile lady with a head circumference of approximately 20 cm. She often wakes up during the night and routinely loses her balance and falls out of her couch/bed. As a result, she often gets contusions on her head. My aim is to help her avoid further contusions. I have recruited two other friends to crochet a covering for the hat so that she will not be embarrassed to wear it.

Ordered 2- One of them smells like cigarettes
I ordered two of the helmets for my son. The product itself is great. I just don't understand why the one ( owl helmet )smells strongly of cigarettes. I will be contacting the seller for an exchange. The smell is unacceptable.

Light weight and comfy
I loved how cute and sill the baby looked in this and she’s didn’t mind it on for a bit but after a while she did try to pull it off. As long as you tie the straps well they shouldn’t be able to pull off the hat. It’s light weight and comfy looking. But in reality I didn’t use it much. It’s definitely helpful when in use though!

Happy and useful purchase!
Hope i could give this safety helmet 10 star!My baby is super active, and this helmet took away all my worries of him bumping his head.He pulls it off only when he isnt busy playing or is feeling hot. Now he just feels it as a dress code🤩. I wouldnt stop using it until he is walking perfectly without any swaying.FYI: 1.the velro straps loosened due to putting it in the dryer ( so i recommend air drying) and i sewed the velcro strap from dollar store.2. I tie the straps on one side with a easy knot but like tying a shoe lace ( kinda no show for the baby) and sometime tug it a bit under the helmet itself,, ( but like i said, my baby is super active so he doesnt pay any attention to it now while he is on a go,, the moment he stops playing and wants to sleep, will start pulling it off which is ok for me since i have to then take it off anyways! For me this helmet has been a life changer and i highly recommend!

Perfect
From the picture it looks like it does not cover the forehead, however it does and it's useful that it does this because my daughter tends to bang her head in the forehead so I wanted to let other parents know this is an important feature of the product, it works well, she is trying her best not to bang her head and she even likes wearing it.

A good protector
I like the fabric, and the thickness of the cushion. It really protects. My 8 month old son used to cry whenever he fell down and his head hit the groun. Now he is comfortable exploring the house. The only cons: is the tie bands: there is no way you can tie them and baby doesn't untie them in seconds. As soon as he untie them he takes off the helmet by pulling the band's.My solution:I tie the bands above the helmet and his hands are not long enough to pull the helmet or take it off.

Must have for new explorers
When our daughter started climbing on things, this was very important to have. Saved NUMEROUS bumps on the head. The padding is sufficient to take impacts. The neck strap is not the most comfortable and our daughter kept wanting to remove it. The adjustability on the helmet itself is good. We can make it small enough to stay on her head without needing the neck strap. It seemed to survive bumps without it falling off.
