Q: Can you adjust the upper part to be forward of the lower part? i have a snore rx which hurts my jaw due to my overbite and cant be adjusted this way.

If you are snoring is because your jaw falls back and obstruct your air flow, so you need to move the lower part forward, and yes you can adjust it that either way if you desire so.

Q: Will this fit if you wear an invisalign type retainer during the night?

One or other, can’t do both as it form fits to teeth. It is rather big and bulky—killed my jaws. Wish I had sent it back

Q: 60 to 90 seconds seems like too long to leave in boiling hot water. Is that correct? I didn't see anything time in hot water on instructions.

Mine came with instructions. They looked like advertisements, but there were instructions about how long to leave them in water and if I recall correctly there was a short bath in cooler water as well.
