Sometimes blenders and tortillons have rough bits (from mega, ultra cheap paper) in them that make it harder to blend or they scratch up your drawing. These were perfect! Not a single rough bit.

Blending dark charcoal to lighten it.

Could use some more sizes. These are decent stumps, although they’re all large, and I would’ve preferred some that were shorter. I cut some inch in half. There are thinner and fatter ones in the package.

blending stumps are a must for every pencil case. I’ve added a photo to show the difference it makes to your drawing. The right eye has been blended with the stump and the rest has yet to be done. It adds a real sense of depth that you just can’t get with a pencil alone. I’m don’t draw that often so this pack of 12 was plenty big enough for me. When the point gets blunt you can sharpen it with a pencil sharpener if you have one that fits or you can use a Stanley knife or a craft knife. It’s useful to have different sized points and you can use them on the side of the nib to go over larger areas. Don’t be afraid to go over the same bit, the more times you go over it the more depth you will add
