I recently tried the Sun Zapper Zinc Stick in Light and Dark Skin Tone shades to match my light olive complexion, which varies throughout the year. Here’s my experience:Shade Matching:•Dark Skin Tone: When my skin tans in summer, the dark shade blends seamlessly.•Light Skin Tone: As my tan fades in winter, the light shade suits me well. However, I noticed that while the cap suggests a warm undertone, the product has a more yellowish hue, which works well with my Olive skin.•In-Between Tones: Currently, after a sunny vacation, I’m between shades. I’ve found that mixing both the light and dark shades helps me achieve a perfect match during these transitional periods.Application & Feel:The stick becomes very stiff and sticky when it’s been sitting in a cold temperature, so I usually like to moisturize my face beforehand so that it glides smoothly.If it’s been sitting in a hot area, I recommend applying it carefully by dabbing the stick on your face. Otherwise, it will come out too thick and look super cakey.Overall, the Sun Zapper Zinc Stick is a an everyday product I use as it helps with my Melasma and now I don’t wear makeup 🙂

I have melasma on my cheeks and unfortunately have to stay out of the sun. This is impossible and even though I religiously wear sunscreen and big hats and am always looking for shade my brown spots are still getting bigger. The other day I decided why not try the white zinc stuff lifeguards use. I was only going to wear it while at home gardening so I didn’t really care how I looked. I got the dark tint which was cool bc at least it might be a little less obvious on me than green. I have an olive complexion so this seemed like the best bet. Well never in my thoughts did I expect to LOVE this stuff. It just so happens that the dark tint blends perfectly with my skin tone; almost better than my foundation. On top of that it does a better job covering my dark spots than my dark spot concealing cream and looks completely natural. Some people have complained about it being hard to apply. I don’t find that. I do one of two things. I will rub the stick on my palm and the heat of my hand softens the stick and then I swipe or dab on. Or, my preferred method, I rub it on to my palm and then use my finger on my palm to keep smoothing it. Then I just dab where I want it with my warm fingers. I even find that if I rest it on my cheek first it warms up and is easier to apply. Bottom line is it helps for the contents to be warm. Just bought another stick to keep in my car.

Nevertheless, I remain content with the current option, given its effectiveness and price point.One drawback I noticed with this tinted zinc, which may apply to other colored zinc sticks, is that it tends to rub off on various surfaces throughout the day. Similar to makeup for women, the zinc acts as a covering rather than being absorbed, leaving marks on anything it comes into contact with. As amusingly mentioned by my wife, who playfully calls them "poop stains," the marks are simply a result of the zinc's presence. While this may be a minor inconvenience, it doesn't outweigh the benefits of having a discreet and efficient sun protection solution.I wholeheartedly recommend this tinted zinc sunscreen to anyone seeking an inconspicuous yet highly effective sun protection option. It provides much-needed coverage for sensitive skin without drawing unwanted attention, making it a valuable addition to my sun protection routine. I have already stocked up on multiple sticks. Until a darker shade option becomes available, I will continue to rely on this product for its impressive performance and sun-shielding capabilities.

This sunscreen is absolutely amazing! My little swimmer uses it all the time, and even when he swims, his nose clip stays perfectly in place on top of the sunscreen without slipping off. It’s incredibly reliable and effective. I highly recommend this product — it’s definitely worth it!

One of the best sunscreens out there. I use this as my foundation in the summer & was able to get a lot of girlfriends onto this as well. It’s super waterproof & mixes well with cream blushes, contours, etc. works great on kids too.

This sunscreen is very useful for me! My skin is very sensitive and gets red easily from the sun, but when I use this sunscreen, I can feel that the sunscreen mud blocks the sun from my skin. I went to the beach in Hawaii last December and I didn't get any sunburn at all! And its color is also very suitable for my skin tone. I think I will keep repurchasing it!
