Great quality and value!
I love these mesh brewing filters for making my “cold brew” coffee. The price, sizes, quality and design works beautifully for my needs. I take them on trips too. Perfect for making smaller amounts of cold brew coffee.

Bag not Compostable
So far these bags have been good for brewing cold brew coffee. I am wondering if the bag is compostable. Update: Found out that the bag is not compostable. What a shame. I do like them though and wish I could just throw the whole thing in my compost bin. I would recommend them for cold brew coffee if you are not interested in composting the bag and coffee grounds. It does what it is supposed to do and does it well, but I will be looking for something similar that has a compostable bag as well. :)

Perfect Bag for Cold Brew Coffee
I wanted to try something different because I've been having issues draining out the coffee grounds for my cold brew every time. I ordered the 8x12 bag so I would have plenty of room to stir my grounds. I first loaded the dry bag with four cups of coursely ground espresso beans, filled up a drink container with 3 Liters of water (I do 1 of cup espresso coffee beans per 3 cups water), gently pushed 3/4 of the bag down in the water and used a spoon to stir the grounds in the bag in water to fully saturate the grounds to make sure there was no dry grounds in the bag. Then I pulled the tie strings of the bag and kept the drawstring on the outside of my container to keep the bag upright, then put on the lid. After 24 hours, I took the container out of the fridge, put a strainer on top of a bowl, and then placed the bag on top of the strainer to let the bag drain out. Do not squeeze the bag to get extra cold brew out, this could make your coffee bitter. Once I felt the grounds were pretty well drained, all I had left to do was strain out the coffee oils in other paper filters. This bag made the process so much easier! I have been struggling dealing with coffee grounds for months, and this is so well worth the money! This works great! I had no grounds in my coffee, although I did still have the coffee oils. Also the bag did not take away or alter the taste of the cold brew coffee. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make cold brew coffee!

Great for making my weekly cold brew
I use these to make my weekly cold brew with 4 ounces of coffee in a wide-mouth container. (It could problably easily handle 8oz, but my container isn't that big.) I'm able to tie the string in a knot to close it securely. When I remove it from the water, I squeeze the remaining liquid out of the grounds and the material holds up to the various twists when squeezing. This is the second package of these that I've gotten, and I will continue to purchase them as long as I can.

Cold brew made easy
This is the easiest and cleanest way I've found to make cold brew. Perfect size to get a gallon! Just grab a pound of ground coffee, add to the bag, fill container with water, and let sit overnight or up to 24 hours (on the counter or in the fridge). Then take the bag out, top with water, and boom - gallon of cold brew.
