Works great
Arrived on time. Nicely chrome plated steel with no burrs or sharp edges. It's a Rainbird product, so I can assume it fits the Rainbird mini and maxi paw sprinkler "cans". I bought this to see if it also fits the Orbit sprinkler cans and YES it does! Next, will see if Rainbird sprinklers will fit into the Orbit can.Using the wrench does take patience to weed and snake the wrench open end to the bottom of the can. And same with getting it out again. But for those sprinklers where removing and replacing the entire unit is a problem, this is the answer.

It's OK
You cannot easily pry up the spray head using the flat blade on the handle.

If you have a Maxi-paw Sprinkler
You NEED this wrench. At least if you are trying to work on it that type head. Why do I say this? I am not sure its possible to remove the sprinkler head from the housing without it. I know I was unable to do so on a septic sprinkler - which has been set into a concrete pad. I figured it would be simple enough to dig around under the concrete pad (Its about 18" across) and unscrew the entire fitting so i would have a nice new housing! So I started digging and realized its pure clay - the extra sticky variety. There was not a good way to tell where the pipe was which made digging more challenging. And each bit of clay removed required me to use something to scrape it off with. After about 15 minutes of this, I realized there had to be a better way as I was barely down to the level of where I needed to be - and now had to dig under the concrete which required a larger hole. So I went inside to see if there was a tool I had foolishly passed on - and their was. Read the complaints that it was overpriced (Probably true, but am willing to bet they don't sell many so its a cost effective thing) and I thought I would take a chance. A few days later it arrived - and I admit I was not impressed with the looks other than the nice plating. Surely something so insubstantial in appearance would make little little difference, or if it did so would require massive effort.I removed the sprinkler from the new housing in seconds. "Ok", I thought. "This is clean and easy to get to. The one in the yard will be more difficult". And I suppose it was as I had to kneel down to fit the wrench. But it came right out and the new one went in with so little effort that it made me want to scream. I controlled myself, though, and decided to write this review. This will fit both the water and septic sprinklers. Highly recommended - and it will make a nice trophy on the wall when not needed.

Great tool for fixing sprinklers
I've already fixed two sprinklers using this tool, so it has already paid for itself. I was also able to remove the sprinkler without having to dig it up, which was an added bonus. If a sprinkler does need to be replaced, the tool can be used to swap out the guts from a new sprinkler without having to dig it up.Tip: Instead of trying to use the tool to pry up the sprinkler, turn on the sprinkler for a minute and put the tool in place while the sprinkler is running. Maybe this is obvious to some, but I didn't think to do this until I got to the second sprinkler.
