Doesn't distort sound (voices)
Rechargeable Hearing Aid for Seniors and Adults Digital Sound Amplifiers EnhancerI have a moderate hearing loss and have worn hearing aids for several years. All hearing aids act as amplifiers, but some have more functions than others. These aids are simple amplifiers. They cannot be adjusted for your particular loss, but they will amplify sounds. It seems to me that some adjustments to sound have been made. One I noticed was turning on the faucet doesn't sound like I'm next to a waterfall. However, when eating from a bag of chips, the noise made by the bag wrinkling sounds like a loud, crackling fire. These aids are rechargeable. Turn them off, place them in the hearing aid charging port so the small metal dots line up, attach the charging case into a USB port on your computer, etc, or attach the charging case to the included USB cable (Included) and use another USB port to charge the aids. You'll receive 3 different sizes of ear tips; choose the size that is most comfortable for you. I have small ear canals and use the smallest size which is actually a little too big for me & slightly uncomfortable. As far as sound, there are 4 settings. I need sound level 2, but turned it up to 4 to see if the sound was distorted at the loudest volume. It was not distorted. After testing, I turned it back down to 2. I found it easy to adjust the hearing aid tube to fit into my ear. The tube has a wire running through it which helps quite a bit. These aids aren't tiny, but they're not huge either. I have small ears & wear glasses. There is room behind my ears for both my glasses and this hearing aid.For me these are slightly uncomfortable compared to the aids I purchased from an audiologist. The ear tip is too large and there is a slight seashell type sound...like when you hold a sea shell up to your ear. This isn't too bothersome for me; I'm guessing the reason is that this sound decibel is one I have trouble hearing. Summing up:---It is rechargeable and doesn't use batteries.---It amplifies sounds but can't be adjusted to your particular loss. They seem to have been adjusted to make certain sounds more comfortable...such as filling up the kitchen sink with water doesn't sound like you're next to a waterfall and it seems some background sounds have been slightly muted---It has a slight "seashell" type sound.---The controls are easy to use, but the lettering is tiny, hard to read and too light.---Sounds don't distort on the highest volume setting.---The ear tube is a comfortable length & can easily be adjusted to work with either ear.---The aids aren't huge, neither is the flexible tube.---Included: two cleaning tools, three sizes of ear tips, a case to hold the hearing aid, everything needed to charge the aid, an instruction manual and, of course, the hearing aid---Take time to read through the manual. All in all, this hearing aid will work as an emergency spare for me. I won't be able to wear it for long periods of time because it's not comfortable in my small ear canal. It works pretty good for the price range.

Best for a spare
My grandmother uses hearing aids. Generally speaking, she's happy with off brand and generic products - because usually they're just as good as name brand. However, when it comes to hearing aids, she's a bit more iffy. She tried this one on and says it is surely nice to have on hand as a spare, but beyond that she doesn't find it comfortable enough to use all day. For all day use she prefers her premium and expensive hearing aids because she says their comfort is second to none. To sum it up, she/we recommend this for peace of mind as a spare, but not to be used and worn as your daily driver so to speak.

Step one: See your doctor / Step two: a hearing test with this basic model
Hearing loss runs in our family and my father wore a hearing aid for decades. This one from Hetaida is traditional design with a solid 30 day return window. The warranty is one year. Its average sound gain is unknown but the “Apple-like” packaging is impressive. Charging is a cinch and three included earplug sizes help. With four sound levels the Hetaida is versatile for an inexpensive device. My suggestion is to first discuss your needs with your audiologist, and not one whose primary goal is to sell you THEIR product. Second, make a return visit and have your hearing tested with this device. Make sure you are not getting extraneous noises that will eventually drive you crazy.

Great product
When I saw this product, I was skeptical. Because I'm looking for a hearing aid for my mother, her right ear has an age-related hearing loss. She was just beginning to lose hope in this hearing aid. Anyway, I ordered to order it, thinking it might help.I put it in the lowest volume setting on my mom's ear, which is the default setting out of the box. She was immediately surprised. She can even hear me speak in a normal voice from another room that has not been possible for years, but best of all, she can listen to TV and favorite music in clear, normal volume.
