Lifesaver for do-it-yourselfer
I'm a do-it-yourselfer who never had any formal carpentry training outside of shop class in 9th grade, but I've been working with wood occasionally since I was 5. I was not looking forward to the job of installing baseboard molding in my house with these bullnose corners because I'd seen conflicting methods among pro and hobbyist carpenters on YouTube regarding how to measure and mark trim for bullnosing. This trim gauge makes me confident and consistent, though, and I'm getting good results.I discovered a technique that I haven't seen on any YouTube video, though, that works well whether you use this gauge or not: I install both my outer (leg) pieces of trim FIRST, and then use a small brass pocket Vernier caliper to measure the gap, transferring this caliper to the piece from which I'm going to cut the 5/8-1" piece for the center of the bullnose. Using a caliper means I don't have to "measure" anything, meaning I don't have to waste time thinking "is that line on the tape measure 1/16 or 1/32?" I just slide the caliper till it fills the gap, take the caliper to the piece I'm going to cut, mark it with a pencil, and cut. This trim gauge paired with a caliper makes the job idiot proof.

Highly recommend for DIY
Easy to use, corners turned out great. No guessing with this template, just mark, measure and cut once. Saved me time and frustration since I don't install trim everyday.

I think it needed...
Overall the tool is solid. However I found that there should be a center marking in the BullNose so it will make it easier for tradesmen. I like the tool but now I have to make my own center mark onto the tool itself so I'll know when doing Crown Moldings or Skirtings I'll find the center easily.

Bull nose corner essential
Baseboards without this tool never looked good on bull nose corners. Following the tool's directions and making sure to allow for saw kerf thickness, I was able to get precise cuts and much better looking baseboards. Ingenious little tool and an essential part of working with bull nose corners.
