Billy is AMAZING!!! Yes, he is getting old now, but he still has it. His ability to tell everyday stories about what he has seen or witnessed and make people laugh is un-rivalled! He has done many world tours, but this is by far the best! Dont get me wrong, they are all good, but the culture and diversity in this one makes it stand out! (And the fact he drives a sexy Harley Trike throughout!).Billy basically tours Australia and shows and tells you all about where he goes. It is interesting, educational and funny. He does shows in the locations he visits as he tours and tells jokes about what he sees. You get the informal and sensible part, then clips mixed in from his shows in those areas, telling the locals what he really thinks!If you like Billy, get this - you wont be disappointed. If you aren't sure about him, I would say this is a better place to start than buying a complete stand up dvd as you can see him in 'comedy mode' and 'normal mode'.Just beware that bad language will be used, but in a funny way and not as much as other comedians where they base all of their material around swearing which I find a little silly...

I well remember watching this series when transmitted in the mid 1990s and the dvd quality is well up to expectations. Although not billed as a holiday or travel programme, at that time we used the locations to inform our later visits to Australia (thanks Billy). Don't watch this if you are one of the professionally offended as there are clips from Billy's shows included between the extensive footage of places across Australia.

DVD is handy as you can select what you want a certain points via track search, however picture quality is only as good as the VHS tapes I have.Bought because of simpler viewing and being able to skip about plus stored on a much better format.As for this series, it’s by far my favourite series he toured. Good enough picture quality but would love for all his tour series to get a remaster as these are great potential holiday sellers😜.

Love him or loathe him, there is no denying that Connolly is superb at what he does, and always good value.....and this disc is no exception.I assume that all fans of Connolly will have seen this episode from the 'world tour' series numerous times by now, either via the many repeats over the years on the box, or the earlier VHS version.However, if you are a fan and need to replace your ageing tape, or are new to Connolly, buy this disc-it is a pleasure from beginning to end. Enjoy.

I can always rely on Billy C for a good belly laugh, and this is no exception....I just love his quirky look at life.... make sure you vet it before giving it to your mum in case the swearing during his concerts may upset a sensitive ear...but for those used to Billy's language, sit back and enjoy! Australia is a wonderful country, and Billy seeks out some unusual people and places to chat about, some nice camera shots too.

I'm A big fan of Billy Connolly and saw this originally on tv back in the mid 1990s.The VHS tapes look in good condition and I will enjoy this purchase 😀

He says at the end of the series that he doesn't do geography programmes. True, but in terms of being a travel programme you can't help but to be taken in by his passion for street entertainers, art work, pie floaters, climbing the giant coat hanger, Ned Kelly, Harold Holt, dampers, aboriginal food and being in the middle of flat Outback in dry, sun scorched conditions. I lived the series with him and felt the onset of post holiday blues when it ended. Inspirational. Oh, and I really enjoyed the snippets of his string playing and stage performances too!

I enjoyed this 312 min REGION B/2 Billy Connolly s World Tour Of Australia BUT. I have all of his World Tours-England, Ireland, Wales, New Zealand, Route 66, Journey to the Edge of the World and Tracks Across America with the only one missing being Scotland but in my opinion this is the weaker one. I really like his World Tours but would rather watch them without extracts from his live shows. If I wanted to watch his recorded live shows I would go and buy his many DVD S or watch him live. ein typisches BC-Tour-Video, mit interessanten Einblicken in Land und Leute, aufgelockert mit Ausschnitten aus Connolly's Auftritten in Australien. Witzig, informativ und sehr unterhaltsam. Englisch ist ein Muss, man sollte seinen schottischen Akzent verstehen und bereit sein, auch etwas "farbenfrohe" Wortwahl zu akzeptieren.
