Out of the package, the incense burner was okay, although their was a small pink stain...flaw in the blue image. With the very first use, though, the ASHES CREATED MULTIPLE BLACK BURN HOLES IN THE PLASTIC COATING, totally disfiguring it! In fact, judging by the severity of the burns, I fear it could actually catch on fire and burn down the house. I really don't understand how this could be sold as an incense burner. Certainly, I won't use it again! Of note, I had used a FRED SOLL's resin incense stick.

The sticks get STUCK so it’s HELL to get the previous sticks out (broken) Great idea big enough wide so dust clean up is great. Good luck trying to put new sticks after old one burns out. Parts of old stick, will remain stuck so the new stick is impossible to put it in

I was burning my incense too low - it would drop very hot ashes on the surface and I ended up with burn marks. I thought I would let the seller know about my experience. They were completely understanding and explained the correct way to burn stick incense. I no longer do it that way and I am 100% pleased with The Urban Vibe - Folkulture in every aspect. This is a well-crafted, practical and beautiful incense holder. I appreciate that other reviews may have criticized the hole width and depth, but the one I received maintains a perfect fit for standard incense sticks. The orientation of the sticks while burning is fine, offset just enough to avoid touching (and it looks nice while burning). The width of the holder is enough to make sure ash doesn’t scatter outside the tray itself and bottom has small pads attached that keep it from sliding and protecting the table/counter surface. The blue swirl design is really nice aesthetically. I like this holder so much, I’m buying another couple to put around the house, replacing some of the older holders we have.

Only used three times and has burn holes in it. Thought would be more fire resistant. Bought this one because I was scared of wood catching fire. This is not wood on top. But has burned. Defeats the purpose of buying this model

I have had this burner several weeks now and use it every day. It works wonderfully, catching all the ashes. I barely have to wipe it clean. I have only to tap it against the garbage container and all the ash is gone.I don’t know how those other purchasers that complained about the surface burning managed to have that experience, unless they laid the burning incense stick down directly on the burner surface instead of inserting the sticks into the holes at each end of the burner that hold the stick at an angle raised above the surface. Burning ash will not fall off the stick, only "dead” ash. So, if you use the holes to put the sticks in there is no way the surface will scorch. Duh…….I am thrilled with this burner and would buy no other if I ever need more than one. Buy it with full confidence in its performance.

This incense holder is very pretty. It provides a large area for ash and resin to fall. My only issue is that the holes are tiny and when the incense stick has resin at the bottom it makes it a little difficult to put in. In spite of the small hole, I haven't had a stick fall out. I'd buy it again.

Awful item.I bought it believing it was made out of ceramic, or some similar material instead, it’s a cheap plastic that can’t handle the high temperature of the ashes and cone like incense. This thing can be considered a fire hazard.The pictures show how it got burned after 1 use.Do not buy it.

Extremely pleased with this beautiful incense holder. I purchased the white and ocean ceramic. Stunning and goes with my warm decor. The incense is perfectly centered, so no messes to clean up. Sturdy and the ceramic is lovely.Exactly as pictured and described. Highly recommend-I will be purchasing more!!Love, love, love!!Thank-you.

It’s pretty right out of the box… but not functional As an incense burner ash tray/holder, you would expect it to be able to catch ashes and not melt or be destroyed. I burned incense once and there’s a burn mark on the tray from where an ash melted the cheap plastic, and the white bottom got stained from the incense oils. So cheap. Which is unfortunate since it looked pretty. But not anymore after only one use.

Whilst this holder is better than most in that it actually catches the all of the ash from incense & stops the mess that usually ensues, I was a little disappointed to see burn marks appearing in the surface where hot ash has landed & scorched the top layer. Considering it's function, I'd expect better burn resistance.The holder is both functional & it looks good but I feel that it will need replacing sooner than expected given that it would appear to lack the attributes to give it longevity & given the price of it, that's somewhat disappointing. The cheap Bali equivalent has lasted far longer & without the scorching.

I liked that they are different than your traditional burner, beautifully painted on a natural wood and it also holds 2 incense sticks. Very pleased and have already gifted one and the receiver was very happy.
