Good powder charcoal
This is a pretty good quality charcoal. I use it to brush my teeth with for whitening. Very powdery so it gets everywhere so just be careful when you open it a puff of charcoal will cover the entire area. Otherwise good product if you know how to use charcoal

Awesome Stuff - But MESSY!!!
Purchased primarily to make mascara and facial masks. Although the packaging is nice (comes in a 'ziplock' foil bag with a scoop), as soon as you open it - POOF!!! Extremely fine charcoal powder EVERYWHERE!! And I have white counters! Ajax was the only thing that would really get it off of my counters... (took a couple of hours to clean up the initial mess) BUT once aware of the mess it will make (just due to the nature of the product), the ease of use, blend-ability, and color intensity is amazing! I did myself a favor while cleaning up the mess and put the majority of it (with the scoop) into a mason jar with a screw-on lid so next time I open it, it shouldn't have the major POOF factor of opening up a bag full of air and extremely fine powder! Have not tried it yet for tooth whitening or taste; purchased primarily for DIY cosmetic/skincare ... although I am thinking about making my own charcoal filter bags for around the house...just gotta figure out the mess factor! Overall, extremely satisfied!

Despite inconvenient packaging, an excellent product
As others have noted, the powder is EXTREMELY FINE. It will come flying out of the package when you open it, and it will get all over things. This is an inconvenience, but doesn't detract from the quality of the product; in fact, it's critical to the quality. If I'm going to be brushing my teeth with charcoal, I want it to be very fine. It's barely gritty at all.But the packaging, though I'm sure it keeps costs and shipping down, IS inconvenient. So here are a couple of tips: When you receive the package, stand it up and shake the product down. Let it settle for a good long while. Assemble two pint-size jars with lids (for the 8 ounce bag of charcoal).Carefully cut the top of the bag open (there's no way you're going to keep dipping into this bag of flying black powder, so sacrifice the bag). On an easy-wipe surface, decant the charcoal powder slowly and carefully into the two jars. I used a wide-mouth funnel.Close the jars up. It's much easier and neater to dip your toothbrush into a wide-mouth jar than into this bag. Some powder will scatter. Wipe it up with a microfiber cloth and some grease-cutting spray like Windex or 409.When you brush your teeth with this EXTREMELY FINE blacker-than-black powder, you will get black tongue and black gums. Mere water-rinsing doesn't make it go away. So I've been pre-brushing with the charcoal, then re-brushing with toothpaste or baking soda, which helps carry away the charcoal.I've read that charcoal shouldn't be used every day on teeth, so this is a once-a-week thing for me, and really not much trouble. I get a nice fresh mouth (I'm on a Very Low Carb diet and get "keto-breath") and super clean teeth. This 8 ounce bag of charcoal will last for years.

If You’re Thinking About Converting To Natural Products, just go ahead and buy it.
I purchased this bag back in august of 2022, and I still have half of bag of activated charcoal. I mixed the charcoal with baking soda (half and half) into a small container for brushing my teeth, and it will last me for a month before I have to refill. It doesn’t have a taste, it does smell odd but it’s bearable. It really keeps my smile bright, and my breath fresh. The only dislike is that it does stain your clothes, so I would suggest wearing something you don’t mind wearing. The great thing is I the stain will come out when you wash your clothes.

YIKES! Just try not spilling it everywhere
Nobody at the company has actually tried to open and use this packaging. Since the seal wont close I had to try to put into another container. Literally half the powder ended up on floors counters walls. The only way is to try to scoop out the packed powder which would be about 200 scoops. The work to dispense this powder from the unhelpful packaging made this purchase cost me much more the $13. I spent hours trying to cleaning up, and ended up throwing away most of it.
