AE Motosports Kawasaki KLR 650 Rear rack 2008-0N, 2nd Gen Only!

Well designed (so far; I haven't had a chance to install it yet) and seems solid. It's a bit on the heavy side, but is to be expected with steel. One of the lights seemed faulty when I tested it and I thought was a poor connection at first; however, after a bit of wiggling/twisting/tugging the cable nearest the PCB connection, the connection seemed to get stronger. Perhaps there was a little bit of residual solder shorting the connection and freed itself. Who knows, but it seems to work great now. I can't wait to get some time to finally install it!

you say its universal but it does not fit gen 1 KLR 650 it is designed for gen 2 and you do not state this in you add so know i have this rack it does not fit and i have to source out a gen 2 klr rack and hope it fits my gen 1 please be more informative in your adds

It does not fit but you can make it fit. There are 2 holes that line up 2 to 1 rack. Use these as guides and drill 2 more holes in gen 1 rack. Oops that's if you have the sw motech rack for the gen 1. Which I do. It will extend the rack length by about 12 inches which is nice. If you have original rack see if you can line up some holes and go from there. I received mine in the mail today, so stoked to install in my gen 1.

This is the best bang for your buck for a Rear Rack you can buy. I love it! This is the second one that I have bought and I am installing on a second KLR650. A great upgrade from stock. Looks cool and provides a solid base for my Rotopax. Get the Auxiliary Brake Lights to go with it!

Amazing product, feels solid and sturdy, definitely better than the stock rack, had to try the longevity of the blinkers though
