REALLY HELPFUL FOR SEWING CLASSES

Great patterns included and clear instructions.

I use Jane Bolsover books for my young group of basic sewing moms group , they love all the projects , enjoy all the well illustrated instructions that go with all the instructions. It is a dream of a book for people who are new to sewing. The book allows you to switch from soft furnishings to fashion . The group are now starting the little girls dress , love the shocking . My young moms have all purchased there own copy now .

I love this book. I bought many beginner books and this by far the best. It's very details with pictures to help you. I'm a visual person so words only would confuse me. I highly recommend this book for beginners or those that had taken a break and want to get back into it.

Lots of information in here, understandable, readable style. Could do with some photos to illustrate the techniques, but the illustrations are clear. Would be daunted by this if it was my only beginners book, however it will be a useful reference for the future. 192 pages of info and some full size patterns at the back. More into dressmaking than simple projects, so if you are a total beginner I would recommend C. Collinets book which has some easy quick projects to build confidence.

The instructions are drawings, I'd rather see it in photos. On the other hand, there are a lot of irrelevant pictures, like a decor magazine or a catalog. I'd rather have a simpler book, with good instruction images. I'm sure a lot of people will love this book, but personally I wouldn't have bought it if I had the option to look inside before buying it. I

OMG I love this book, it shows beautiful illustrations of sewing techniques for different tasks, from simple stitches to quilting or, dressmaking, very well written with amazing projects easy to follow..A must for anyone wishing to get serious about sewing. Highly recommended.

Bought this for my son who needs the basics if he is to get thru life without buying replacement's when repair can do.. It's now been 3 months and its just great..
